Not bad for a Cloverdale, Ohio, shooter.

Don't forget Continental and Leipsic, I think Dirk goes too Cloverdale so Dave can Eat. Good Shooting Dirk.

I have noticed that on occasion Brad eats there also using the excuse he just came to visit. All kidding aside Cloverdale has very good food at very reasonable prices. If you don't believe me come and try it. Also those above mentioned clubs do throw rather challenging targets and their meat shoots are a good time for all.

Great week Dirk. Nice to see one of the "home town" boys clean up over a lot of very tough computation.

Dirk broke 599 out of the 600 program singles. Dirk and two other shooters went another 100 straight in the shoot off then asked for more speed to be put on the targets. A bunch of turns were added to the spring and Dirk ran 25 more. The other shooters dropped 1 or 2 targets. All of Dirk’s training at Cloverdale, Continental and Leipsic paid off!

It was a great shoot and it would have been even better if you and your Canadian friends could have been in attendance also.

The other two shooters were Aaron Willoughby and Rick Marshall. It was a fun shoot off to watch. Anyone that doesn’t believe increasing the target speed would effect the best shooters should have watched this shoot off. I was theIr shoot off referee for the first 50 targets. There was absolutely nothing left of those first 50 targets, all ink spots. They changed traps for the next 50 so I watched from the stands. Same thing, ink spots. About 12 turns on the spring produced 3 missed targets on the next box. I don’t know how far the targets were flying but it looked like they were WELL past 50 yards.

The border will probably closed for the rest of this year.

Don are you getting a little bashful? Maybe you should explain that there can be excruciating circumstances for missing a target according to rumors I've heard. Just wondering.

    David,
Sometimes it isn’t how many you miss, it’s when you miss that matters. Take this past week for example. A good friend of mine shot right next to me all week. That fella only missed 1 singles target ALL WEEK LONG. Unfortunately for him the rest of the idiots he was shooting with ran that trap and stuck him for a beer. He tried to pay us off with peaches but it turns out the local raccoons like peaches too and ate them all. In the end I didn’t get that beer but he did pay off with a bunch of once fired shells. It was a fun squad!

    I can hear it now.

Yeah sure it was a record attendance, but the Cardinal Center has a raccoon problem.

Maybe that's why pipe layer hasn't posted on here as to this being a very good shoot? It's just a shame that our Ohio shooters don't tell them nasty ole racoons to just behave themselves.

To be fair to the raccoons the peaches may have been cursed. The oven in the Snively’s camper blew up while attempting to bake a peach cobbler made with the some of the Berlet peaches. We are thinking something like the Aztec Gold curse?

3 Lbs. ripe peaches, 3 cups sugar, 1/2 cup BRANDY

Those were the ingredients for making canned Brandy Peaches.

I didn't see any recipes for using them in a pie.

    Now I know why, lol

I guess in being fair to the little masked racoons they probably feel like they are pretty much mainstream normal since our political hack looney politicians seem to want everybody to look like the the little masked rascals, so maybe it isn't their fault.

Ann is in the process of making a Peach Pie from the Berlet Peach's right now and if there are any problems I'll blame in on the target claimer Don if you think it appropriate.

Didn't think of that Dave. Put on a mask and you can do whatever you want.

If you didn't want them stolen you should not have left them where we could see them.

The peaches I did get to eat were excellent! If the stove doesn’t blow up I’m sure you will love the peach pie. Nothing goes to waste in nature. After the raccoons were done they left the peach pits on Mike’s camp mat. The squirrels came while we were shooting and took the peach pits away!

If the squirrels were carting away the nuts it's probably a good thing hunter44, greentitian, and the pipe lair didn't come to the CC shoot.

Brad the squirrels aren't completely stupid. The type of nuts that you mentioned I don't believe would have been carried up the tree to their home. They would have just buried them and forget where they buried them. LOL

    They wouldn't have forgotten them.

They would have told all the other squirrels that they planted them and in a year the nuts would grow up to be the biggest oak tree they all ever saw.
