Washington State Sales Tax

The State of Washington is day's away from imposing a sales tax on clay pigeons. It may possibly be retroactive till at least 1/1/2017. The impact on clubs and shooters will be huge........ Larry

 

The club already paid sales tax when they purchased the targets in the first place.
Would have thought that was already included in cost of a round. Just like all the overhead for the club.

 

The birds have not been taxed in the past. Larry

 

Just received a note from the Walla Walla director.... latest word is the tax will be retroactive to January 1st. The number of birds thrown in Washington State has to be huge.... helluva hit on the clubs, large income for the state.... Larry

 

I guess that is the price you must pay for living in a very liberal state. They can not give money to anyone until they first take it from someone else. Quit electing socialists and you can alleviate that problem. Roger C.

 

You are absolutely right Roger. In Oregon we have been fighting a sales tax for years and years....... Washington and Oregon have much in common though, all the population lives withing about 35 miles of the I-5 corridor and its all liberal. Eastern Washington ( Spokane, Walla Walla, Tri-Cities, Yakima) was outvoted years ago and the sales tax came in and grew and grew. There has been enough common sense on the West side of Oregon to keep the sales tax at bay but the Liberal (and transgender) governor and the Democrat house and senate keep pushing and getting closer and closer. Gun laws, user fees, vehicle licensing, now an increase in the gas tax and Oregon is on the way to being California North. Take a look at the national map of sanctuary cities...... see Oregon??..... You are right on track Roger but take a look at Trump.... the Republicans in congress will not even support his agenda........ Larry

 

LARRY, THE PROBLEM CAN ONLY BE SOLVED IF WE THE PEOPLE TAKE BACK OUR SCHOOL SYSTEM. OUR CHILDREN ARE NOT BEING EDUCATED THEY ARE BEING INDOCTRANATED. By liberal teachers and professors. Common core must be eliminated from our schools. Roger C.
