SCTP at Cardinal Center

I stopped by CC to patronize the vendors and watch the youngsters having fun. I was astonished at both the size of the crowd, and the number of vendors. Probably a dozen food venors alone. There was no place to park without cruisng around. I haven't seen that many people at a trap event since the Grand was at Vandalia. It was so great seeing people from all over the country having fun shooting and/or supporting family members who are competing. I spoke to a friendly kid from Texas in the food line and asked what he thought of the Cardinal Center and the event. He said, "I love this place, we're having so much fun!" I asked, how are you shooting? He replied, "I'm not, we're all here on vacation supporting my brother and his teammates!"

There was also a pistol event going on at the west end. That was very well attended too.

It was so nice to see Ohio doing well, vendors packed and doing well, shooting sports doing well, and countless people with plenty of money to spend. It took me 20 minutes to get to the Krieghoff sales counter, even though the whole store is smaller than my kitchen, LOL.

The only bummer was that Winchester apparently killed the awesome $5 White Flyer hat deals WF used to have before they were bought. I'd buy one for every shooter I knew, plus one of every color for myself. They did have some cheapy Trucker Hats with AA etc. on them, but nothing of quality I'd want to wear.
