Amy Acton says 80% of gun owners want red flag laws.

“Eighty percent of gun owners want reasonable, reasonable measures, background checks, red flag laws.” That’s what Amy Acton said this week, and that’s the kind of government power she wants to bring to Ohio. This is the same far left playbook we’ve seen from Abigail Spanberger in Virginia. Call it reasonable, call it common sense, and act like anyone who questions giving the government more authority over their constitutional rights is the unreasonable one.

This one is personal to me because I live in Ohio. I don’t want a system where an angry relative could initiate proceedings that result in the government taking my firearms. Think about that. Someone makes an accusation, the government decides you’re dangerous, and suddenly you’re fighting to get your own property and constitutional rights back. That’s not my definition of freedom, and I don’t care how many times a politician calls it reasonable. I’m tired of politicians hiding behind feel-good language to sell people more government power.
