Its going to take all of the money they can put together just to have the shoot, then you have expenses, new gun, traveling for the EC and some of the BOD, these things cost money and the Co Sponsors do not seem to be appreciated based on some of the comments made by some of the agents of the ATA ... The Martins/Harts have paid out more in added money over a short period of time than the ATA could even imagine ... Priority's and the members are not one of them ...

Anyone who supports the State of Illinois, or any event's held within the borders of are supporting gun control ( Obama) and its not just Chicago, its the entire State and the democratic party ... Give till it hurts and they will take till you can't give anymore ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

What happened to a Kentucky truck donation .... "for the love of the sport" ????

Shame on a "contractor" of 50 years for not helping support the "Grand" .... after all, "he" says "he" doesn't need the money ....

Acording to the program Bill & Lee Ann Martin are the signature sponsors. They are the most generous people in this sport. We should all thank them for their support of our sport. Roger C.

I disagree a bit. Anyone that propped up the WSRC did not do the sport any favors. Good intentions - maybe. Enablers are generous but they don't help the addict.

WSRC and target settings obviously the downfall of the ATA. I would not want my signature on either.

Bill, LeAnn Martin, Craig Hart do not give donations with the intended purpose of being enablers, these people truly have the best interest of the sport in their intentions ... The intended purpose is to make it better and keep it alive as they enrich a few peoples lives along the way ... If some of the EC, ED, and BOD gave as willingly of their time with out financial reimbursement as the donors do with big checks the ATA would be in a lot better shape than they are and the organization would and could be as it was intended to be when it was started many years before us ... Greed has filled the hearts of those in a position to reap the harvest and they probably would not be involved at all if it was not for the financial support ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

    WPT,

I would like to toss a couple of more names into that Donate ring for the love of the sport.

Anyone who has been around for a while knows of Bill and Ruthie Hunter. They supplied the belt buckles with coins in the center for years for the major shoots. These were items that many (including myself) wanted so badly to win, but just never scored good enough. The ones out there today are very cherished !

Yes indeed, we have had several great benefactors through the years, and the Martins happen to be the latest in that long line. We should all be thanking them for what they have done.

Bill and Ruthie Hunter are no doubt some GREAT ambassadors of the sport and have donated generously over the years for many years ... They are some of the absolute nicest people you could possibly meet, was not wanting or trying to intentionally discount their contributions over the years ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

    James,

Lack of business sense is the major reason for the decline of the ATA. The mind set that the EC has also helped. The lack of delegates with no back bone also is a large factor. The EC and BOD must carry 90% of the blame. they made it almost impossible for the members to negate any of their neferious actions. Roger C.
