I built my grandsons a play house and would like to drywall the inside, will regular joint compound hold up or is there something special I should use? I live in Ohio and it will get really cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Thanks in advance for your help.

If it draws moisture, there will be problems.

I'm not a carpenter , but I wonder if that concrete board they use in showers would work ?

It's heavy and not easy to work with but it retards moisture.

    Regards....Gerald

In unheated areas like a garage or a outdoor playhouse the drywall will crack at the joint lines due to expansion and contraction and the drywall will deteriorate at a quicker rate.

I would use inexpensive plywood to line the interior with if it was me.
