Large frame, single action Model 1854 Lefaucheux pinfire revolver. The serial number 34859 is within the range of numbers of the revolvers imported to the USA during the Civil War (25,000-37,000). I spent time online looking for the background of this gun and it may have been issued to 9th Missouri cavalry. I can supply a link to s/n 35894 with a history of that gun, very interesting. I'm thinking a s/n within 1,035 would have an interesting history. I have been in touch with a researcher that can go to National Archives for a nominal amount when they re-open to get the gun's background and possibly the issue soldier's war record.

The hammer sits good on 1/2 cock but falls forward on full cock. The loading gate works fine. The cylinder indexes fine. It is missing the ejector rod but this could be easily machined for display. There is an H carved in the handle. I'm a trapshooter and think this gun would be much better off in the hands of someone that would appreciate it.

    $600 shipped.

Any information or interest in this would be appreciated. Thanks.
