In my dealings with MEC they have always had excellent customer service.

Try this. Take the stock off and spray some RemOil in there. Things get very dry in there and a good lubing can make a big difference.

If memory serves me the Mono had 2 different release buttons. One was .530 and the other was .576 wide so it has to fit your release button.
