Love it. Used it for years, but its like hens teeth to find now. If you need more loads,PB is almost identical in reloading manual.
26 grs under a 1 1/4 oz with a little buffer does a fine job in money shoots ! Rio Blue short B/W hulls with a CB1114 wad !
800x does have a metering issue sometimes. Say if you're running a PW reloader with a newer style powder popper and shot, I have very little problem maybe 2/10 different in powder drop. If you run a Mac and you don't use a tube extension, the aluminum one you will have some problems. But I've literally ran 30 lb of that powder through loaders and not have that many problems. It just depends if you're willing to sit down and figure out any problems you may run into. Some people do not have the patience for it. Just my two cents
Used 800x for a long time and loaded it thru a Mec 9000H. Worst variant was .2 at the most, usually within 1 tenth. My set-up was.. hang a dryer sheet with a zip tie in the bottle for static, and use a bushing, not an adjustable bar. Use the smaller bushing and use a counter bore at the top to get what you need for drop weight. Polish the cut and your good to go. The bushing acts like a black powder measure, the powder heaps when droped but is cut off when the bar come across eliminating the big flake syndrome Loved that powder..
Loaded alot of it. Never had any trouble reloading it. If I had to pick one powder to shoot for the rest of my life, 800x would have been my choice. KK28
1st time trying 800X on a mec single stage(600JR) and I hated it don’t think it ever stayed within 1grain not tenths 1grain…tried loading 22.5 and an 1.125oz in new fiocchi hulls already primed but not skived, powder migrated up past straight wad with straight walled hulls…loaded six shells and quit…tried using powder trickler to make em all 22.5 but I usually reserve that for rifle loading. I didn’t try using a dryer sheet inside bottle. Did have a mec powder baffle and charge bar has bushings for different powder drops. Shame that’s a 8lb jug I loaded 6 shells out of.. well open to suggestions using the 800x expessully how to get decent powder drops..Keith
