Looking for a PFS grip for a BT-99 for my daughter. It's an older fixed choke model. Not sure if that makes a difference.

Tom, does your bt-99 have a short or long tang on the trigger guard. I'm pretty sure i have a new one, I'll check this afternoon.

I just double checked, it's a long tang (gen 1).

Tom, sorry my grip is for a short tang. As far as I know , pfs grips are not made for long tang 99's, unless you have someone custom make it.

Thanks anyway! I was afraid of that. I'll check with pfs to be sure (should have done that in the first place). Then I can decide if I'm in need of a new grip or a new gun...LOL. My daughter loves her BT but it just doesn't fit her very well.

Tom, you can use that grip if you cut off part of the tang on trigger hard. I did that on one I had for my grandson.

Jack, thanks for the info. That's exactly what PFS told me in their email. Pepsiguy, sent you a pm.

  8. buy a newer trigger guard and leave the old guard in original condition to sell with the gun , with the original wood .

It would take a bit of modification. I believe the rear of the newer one gets pinned into the "trigger housing" and the older one screws into the stock further back. I don't think the older version has any provision for the pin. Midwest gunworks has the gen 2 guards for sale but not gen 1 (35 bucks). I'll try to find another gen 1 to modify first, if not then just get a gen 2. Thanks for the thought!
