Is the weather to blame for the CC attendance falling? The CC needs a big Saturday shoot to rebound.

In the first 12 total events, shoot was down 500 entries, that comes out to 41.6 entries per event or 8 squads. which is not bad for weather, one hdcp event was down 216 entries, that was a bunch, my feelings are shooters are shying away from Singles, but those SCTP shooters are boosting those events. The older shooters have seen the writing on the wall, and prefer Doubles and Hdcps, Now that is my feelings.

The target settings now are so very, very soft, just look at the 200 strts at Sparta in Sgls, and the Number of 100 Strts in the Sgls. Targets are not compepetive, the Sgls is an ENDURANCE RACE, not a Skill. You give me a True 3-4 Hole target in Hdcp, and I feel a rush in breaking a 96 and higher score, an Accomplishment on shooting a TRUE Competetive target.
Our 50 bird Calcutta's of the 1970s & 80s were money making events, The Snake Road Buddy shoots was an example of competetive targets, Even Leo Harrison and his buddy only shot so,so. on those targets. He was HUMBLED on those wider, faster, Longer targets. My biggest ATA Money win was at Las Vegas Handicap, with a 98 from the 27 with a Tie and we split over $4,000 each, The Night shoots at Camp Troy during the Ohio State Shoot, and the Grand American, 50 bird shoots is where I made a LOT of MONEY, MKy buddy and I mshot the First Squad one evening I was Leadoff and he was on Post 5 and we Broke the ONLY 50 Straight that particular Night, it was a Friday Night of the Grand American, we split over $9,000 $4500+ each, a Big Guy from Michigan was shooting a heavy load and his targets were Breaking hard( SMOKE) and he Laughed at every break, he was shooting 1 1/4 oz 6s w/29 grs Herco, He ran the first 25 up to 15 of the 2nd 25 then target breaks got weaker, and then he started to miss and broke a 47, out of the money. Jerry and I loaded up w/reloading supplies on Saturday, Powder, Wads, and a ton of shot 20,000 plus primers, 4 cases of 8 lb Red Dot, each, the Shot was the Shiny Black Diamond Mag 7 1/2s, on the way home I bought a Pair of Cowboy Boots made of Water Bullalo, and a Stetson Cowboy Hat, Both of which I still Have. Cannot wear the Cowboy Boots w/my Prosthetic Left leg. I am looking at that Stetson now sitting on Handicap BOWL TROPHY, I was told that Stetson was worth over $800 when I had it Re-Blocked, It is over 48 Years old. Boots have been re-soled 3 times, and are in Good Shape yet today. I got almost 25,000 miles on my Prosthetic now.
HaHa. The Grudge Match Win and the Brick in the Hall Of Fame Walk at the Cardinal are my Epitome. I just need the strength back in my Left Shoulder so I can shoot this very Nice Ljutic w/release trigger.

Spoke to a friend who is at the Cardinal today. Just as he was done shooting on squad 124 and walked into the pavilion, it started to rain. There were still about 100 squads to go, so some got wet.
To bad, many wait all year for these shoots, and then the weather messes up your plans.
I'm at home in sunny Arizona. We have had a lot of rain and high winds this year, this is unusual. Roger C.

Do you know what happened to that POI thread I contributed to this morning? I spent a lot of time on a post on it informing readers here about what limits the POI of a gun has and why and now it's gone, wasting not only considerable time my part but depriving the readers here of a viewpoint they had likely never encountered before. A viewpoint that might have saved some of them a lot of money.

I think I'm owed an explanation about what happened to it, preferably public, since I don't feel I did anything wrong.

If your information on POI was so valuable, you should have put it on a POI thread. Is that confusing? Most here understand the concept. Do you need a graph?

Other posts way off topic were pulled down as well. Before you continue with the public whiney crap, the other posts were from very good friends of mine.

A clue as to the topic is usually found in an area called the title. You would think someone that professes to be a professor would not need this lecture. And you would also think you would not require it to be in public....joe

Some shooters had to stand in pools of water on Bank 6 on Saturday afternoon.

I don't have anything to add about the original post on the CC and weather.
I just wanted to repost the spanking Winston got.
