A young fox has been seen hanging out on the trap line at Elysburg.

Should have paid more. Probably would have gotten a better bank

The Fox is a major donor. Wink wink. He will have his usual preferred bank for the weekend.

Wildlife on the trap line brings up an interesting question? We have swallows flying around our club house. What is the ATA rule if a bird is hit inadvertently on the trap line, is It a lost bird or a shoot over? -- no dead bird comments, the clay didn't break.

LOL- you guys turn a cool picture of a fox on a trap line into the bank assignments? Those folks really are living rent free in your heads, aren’t they?

Also- looks like he has his choice of banks- just like the guys holding guns in the pictures did.

Why would it be a lost bird if a live one was hit and the clay target was missed? Lost target.

I said it because I had a bet if I did you would come running to defend that their decision to pay off those donators that bought a choice of the better banks.
Thank you for doing what I knew would happen. I’m not going to take the guys $20.00 but I did show him I was right.

And how do you know those guys CHOSE those banks? Are you one of those two people?
Were you on that squad? Or was that just more BS about how it didn’t matter if people PAID to have better traps.

What did I say to defend the decision to pay off the donators? I just mentioned that you guys can’t get over it, so maybe you owe your buddy $20. Based on how you did at the casino, you should be able to afford it.

I am not one of those guys, but no one is told they have to shoot where and when, which has been the case in Elysburg for a long time. It’s just more random now because they draw banks.

The bet was that you would come here and post something.
And, to no one’s surprise, you did.
So, you DON’T know if they were shooting where they wanted.
You just “assumed” they were. Maybe they wanted one of the preferred banks.

Oh, well- that’s different than what your last post said about me defending anyone. No worries, I’m sure you’ll be more clear in the future.

Nope, I don’t know- I did assume it. Insert the “you know what happens when you ASSUME” cliche in your next post, I can tell you’re chomping at the bit for it. They at least look happy being in Elysburg- did you make it there this week?

THERE IT IS! I wondered how long it was going to take before that one reared its ugly head. "did you make it there this week?

The old, "you don't shoot registered targets any longer so you shouldn't have an opinion about the policy at Elysburg"
No, I didn't bother going to Elysburg. And from the large percentage that used to go there and STOPPED GOING, it looks like I'm not alone.
And I don't have to belong to an organization to know a Pay for Play scheme when I see it. The good old boys that made that deal screwed the pooch and they knew it.
Now they are trying to fix it.

As far as me inserting anything, I don't have to. Everyone that read this thread know that means that when you assume anything you look like an ass.
From the number of people that disagreed with you I would say they don't need me to point it out.

I do have a question for you. Was Andy Hensel, AKA, dawg at the shoot and did you talk to him? I was curious to see if he was still yapping about being tossed off the site for arguing with me.

Oh you can have an opinion on anything- doesn’t mean that it is right, but anyone can have an opinion. As far as the good old boys, it seems like they’re all long gone now, so they aren’t trying to fix anything. If you look at attendance this year, drawing for banks didn’t fix a thing. Maybe I wasn’t wrong about that…maybe some folks on here had their preconceived notions and closed their eyes to what wasn’t wrong with Elysburg. I know it’s a losing battle to tell trapshooters not to complain, though.

Nope, didn’t see him but that doesn’t mean he wasn’t there, but I wasn’t looking for him, either. I saw one of his kids or grandkids shot pretty well there last weekend, so maybe he was. Maybe if they put a casino in up there you can make it a dual purpose trip and check it out again.

Andy was there, as a vendor, with his fine table of shotguns, and proudly watching his son shoot very well. I'm guessing that the goings on, here, were not much of a distraction for the old dawg.

It's all great fun; but seeing a fox in the daytime, especially under those conditions is a serious issue and almost always means the animal has Rabies or Distemper; both fatal. We found the carcass the next morning. Folks walk their pets on the trap line after the shoots, and fortunately there were no incidents that we know of . If a shooter had dispatched the animal it would have ended in hell and damnation; but mother nature ended the poor critter's misery.
