    no unfortunately no box

    this came out of an estate and everything in the picture is what I have

    everything was unfired and wrapped in paper, kept perfectly

    winchester didnt allow engravers to sign there work if commisioned by the factory. its impossible to know.
    the only clue one could have is the serial number range. its towards the end of the run for the hand made guns.
    maybe a ride over to the winchester collector forum might help answer your question. knowing the engraver of the era might be a best guess; then again, the engraving could have been done earlier than the assembly, leaving you unanswered.
    theres a fellow here named 14flip. he knew the engravers. might give him a buzz. tell him bobski sent you. our friendship goes way back.
