So the receivers for both the 2-3/4 and 3” guns are the same length but the ejection port is 1/4” longer on the 3” guns?
And on the really early serial numbers the port is the same length on both because the shells back then were roll crimped and when ejected they were shorter than the newer 6 crimped shells?
Since someone already opened the can. Where exactly do we get the extra 1/4" to accommodate the longer shells. Is it in the barrel or is the chamber ring set more rearward??
