What do i have ,is there adjustments in it and how do i do it - counter coil?

    here are 2 pictures of a absorber in a gun i just bought ,very hard to compress is there a adjustment in it ,what is the allen key head for ???????????

    Thats a counter coil. Turn to the left to tighten it up and turn to the right to loosen it up.
    Do not go past the stop. These adjustments control the dampening. Turn it 180 to the right to check the dampening

    Do not remove the set screw!

    The are obsolete now, when it fails there is no way to repair or replace it, only option is to install a different brand of reducer or replace it with a pad and a big spacer.

    If it's on a gun you plan on shooting heavily, I'd replace it now, that way it doesn't fail in the middle of a shoot/season and leave you high and dry.
