Can anyone explain the rationale behind the shoot-off's at the Grand? Went down to watch some of the big boys shoot-off in front of the grandstands only to find a couple shorter yardage shooters shooting off. The All Americans, the ones I wanted to watch were all shooting on traps further down and away from the grandstands. Couldn't understand why, but then I remembered, this is the ATA!
Doesn't seem to be much for common sense, down at the grand. We went down there last monday to see the sights, and demo some guns. They had a special field set up for demoing guns (field O). Around 3:00, a few of us got Browning shotguns, that we were interested in to shoot, and walked out to the demo field. We were told that the field was closed, because they were setting up fireworks to the north of the field. We asked "when will we be able to shoot", and were told it could be anywhere from 15 minutes to 2 hours.
