Easy targets?? Is it just me?

Today I was looking as the results for one of the handicaps at Sparta. Out of 1299 entries, 201 shooters broke 96 or higher. Let's make everybody a winner!

I would think that statistics like that will encourage more difficult targets in the future.

 

Not sure thats totally fair example. The best shooters/point chasers are the ones coming to BFE IL. There's more cream here than a typical shoot.

 

Lots of 100's in handicap this year for sure

Check out the number of 100 straights in the singles from the first day compared to the number of entries

Then add those straights to the 99’s

Records are made to be broken.

 

The difference between a AAA shooter and a lower class shooter is never much the same holds true with handicap, Unless you get a unfavorable day to shoot ( weather related ) the targets and the easy targets ( you mentioned ) seem to see all the shooters stacked at the top. The only thing that does not track here is H. Campbell and R. Marshall are missing targets when others ( unknowns ) are braking all of them.

How were your scores on the easy targets.

 

All 201 shooters won yardage. I doubt they won much money for their accomplishment.

 

There were 15 100s in the caps through the prelim week this year.

looking back at the beginning of the Sparta era It took all of 06,07,08 and half of 09 to get to 15

i know we have some great shooters in the sport right now but there was a whole bunch of greats shooting back then too

Whats changed?

 

You state it took 3 1/2 events previously to get to 15 and it took all 5 events to get to15 this year. So talent is down?

three and a half years worth of events

 

My comprehension is not worth squat!
