What's the best way to remove a decal from a stock?

What is the best product that won't damage wood?

If it was mine, I would try WD-40 then GoofOff.

I use cigarette lighter fluid..a very mild solvent...never hurt a stock finish with it....also works good to remove oil, grease etc...

WD-40 worked really well for me. Left no residue.

Rosebud torch (make sure the flame is good and blue) or a chop saw.

Seriously, however, I'd heat it with a hair dryer and peel it off. Once you get it off, any of the above solvents should remove the residue.

I used a hair dryer. Just warm up the decal and is pealed right off.
