Any difference between contacts with glasses or prescription glasses for shooting ?

Depends on your eyes. Prescription lenses work great in my experience. Contacts were problematic for me. They dried out and fell out on a windyday at a state shoot.

If you're serious about it competing, or just demanding the best possible performance from yourself, prescription shooting glasses are the way to go. They're a tool, like a good choke tube. You get them fitted by an optician who understands "shooter's vertex distance" (the eye-to-lens gap), and it's a game-changer.
