A young lady in the winter was Measuring and Knitting Male Private Parts Warmers, consisted of a sleeve and Sac bag w/draw strings, so you could tie a Bow on top, When she came to the Trapshoots in the evenings at Delaware, Pataskala, and Newark, & Route 40 Gun Club, She was a Red Headed lady.
She could make about 3 of them an evening. You had a choice of colors too.

Doc, where do you come up with this stuff? Really, I'm laughing with you not at you but jeeeeeeeeezz, how do these things pop into your head?

My dog is STILL laughing at my joke. My wife, on the other hand, quit laughing at my jokes about ten years ago. Dogs are clearly more loyal.

Remember Mary Maize from Muncie, IN. She would sew your name on you vest, or whatever you wanted. She set up in Vandalia by Timney. I used to call her Muncie Mary, she always laughed at me. Grouchy old lady but was really nice once you broke through.

To bad the lady that knitted those jock straps wasn't set up next door to Mary.
Doc could have had his name embroidered right on there.
Only needed space for 3 letters.

I don't remember the red head, but Granny made "schwantz warmers". I was so fond of mine, I had Mary embroider my name and a return address on it just in case if it was left at a shoot. I was shooting at Williams Co. a lot in those days, so I had their return address on it. Big, bold, 1/2" capital letters all in a row:

IF LOST, RETURN TO "ROSEY" AT, 12813 COUNTY ROAD J, MONTPELIER, OHIO, 43543

That is far to small for me. It has to be way bigger to fit me.
