What would happen if a shooter at the CC kneeled during national anthem in front of the main pavilion?

I think a dog would run up and hike up their leg and piss on them.

When our trap help did not respond in an acceptable manor I read the riot act to them. Only once, the second time they were history. This was at the old Pheonix club. If you see people doing this disgusting ACT, TELL THEM TO STAND UP AND PLEASE LEAVE THE GROUNDS. Roger C.

There are ways to address certain things, certain people and certain symbols with an understanding of protocol, dignity, and respect ... The American Flag is and has been a symbol of FREEDOM, that thousands have died for over many years ... If one does not respect the Flag, they do not honor respect those that died for it , "That is the Problem"... If you can't stand to Honor the Flag and those who died for it, you best not be able to stand at all in my book ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

The specific rule pertaining to the National Anthem is found on pages A62-63 of the NFL League Rule book , it states :

The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem ... During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at Attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand and refrain from talking ... The Home team should ensure that the American is in good condition ...
It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country ... Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and /or forfeiture of draft choice (s) for violations of the above, including first offenses ...

Read it and weep : WPT ... (YAC) ...

As a proud American, U.S. Navy Viet Nam era veteran and football fan, it is very disturbing to see grown men who should know better, disrespecting "Old Glory."

Now those in support of NFL management, Commissioner Goodell, and the players offer the narrative that it is not about the American Flag. I say regardless of their grievance, they have made it about the American Flag by taking a knee in disrespect to our country and all those military men and women who served to afford our rights.

I sent my letter off to Commissioner Goodell today. I reminded him that he is on the wrong side of this issue and if he has this much trouble understanding the outrage some of us are feeling, and believes President's comments were more divisive than the action of NFL kneeling players and his decision to permit such disrespect before each game, then he has demonstrated that he is incapable of making a good decision and might want to look for employment more suited to his character.

I reminded Mr. Goodell of the reason most people stand proudly during the National Anthem, hat removed, hand on heart and some with tears falling from their eyes. I'm one of those grateful souls.

I also advised him that I too have made a decision. I won't be watching any more NFL football due to the angst he is causing me for his organization's disrespect to our great nation.

I don't expect a reply from the Commissioner, but I feel like a man who took a stand, unlike those cowards who hid in the locker room, refusing to stand tall for our National Anthem.

I care very much about our sport of trapshooting and there were several times in my career, during trapshoots, where I had to have a chat with a young person who failed to acknowledge the playing of our national anthem and flag raising. I hope I educated them a bit and inspired them to pay proper tribute to the event. I usually ended the conversation with mention of their grandfather and great grandfather serving in the military and helped preserve our freedoms and traditions and the flag being the major factor inspiring them to to so. Then I asked what they though great grandfather would think of him/her, for whatever reason, failing to showing respect during the national anthem?

As I recalled these times in my mind, I thought I'd also share my experience at tournaments around the country with Commissioner Goodell. I wrote:

"In the sport of registered trapshooting, we stand to honor our Canadian friends during the playing of "O Canada" which precedes our "Star Spangled Banner." The respect is mutual and all competitors and fans are proud and courteous. This should be a lesson for the NFL. Political correctness is a plague and I refuse to allow it to bring harm to our country."

The keyword is "respect," something a small group of NFL players are lacking at present.

Spoiled rotten brats, pampered pups, trying to get a point across, don't know what the point is or why, all that money and they still can't buy any class ... If you look at the actions from a different perspective, you have to wonder if its not a Racial thing that was reborn, rejuvenated and fueled by the last administration with an instilled hate for the Country and the people of America ... I feel and firmly believe there is a civil war brewing prompted by the actions of many who are not going to like the outcome once it starts ... There are many that are told old to fight but can still shoot ... Let the games begin ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I can only control my own feelings and actions....... It's not just the football players showing disrespect and hate. Look around......... Sanctuary cities and states?? DACA?? Courts stopping legal actions?? Colleges and Universities preventing true education?? Democrats following the lead of Schumer and Pelosi??????

I might add that I have many friends of Color who are in my age bracket, and conversations with them show me they have the same opinion of these younger people as we do...One even told me that the youngsters pulling this stunt are an embarrassment to his race.

So, we older folks mostly agree, younger generation is taking this freedom of speech too far when they disrespect our country.

LARRY, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE !

And thank you to all of our military veterans, and active duty folks.

Love you guys and gals !

Sorry WPT but that is not true.

"The league’s Game Operations Department uses the manual to govern the conduct of home clubs, to ensure they protect players and provide the conditions for a fair and fan-friendly contest," reads the NFL's website. "Clubs face warnings and other penalties for noncompliance."

The NFL rulebook makes no mention of the national anthem. But the game operations manual does.

Here's what the game operations manual says regarding the national anthem, according to an NFL spokesperson:

The National Anthem must be played prior to every NFL game, and all players must be on the sideline for the National Anthem.

During the National Anthem, players on the field and bench area should stand at attention, face the flag, hold helmets in their left hand, and refrain from talking. The home team should ensure that the American flag is in good condition. It should be pointed out to players and coaches that we continue to be judged by the public in this area of respect for the flag and our country. Failure to be on the field by the start of the National Anthem may result in discipline, such as fines, suspensions, and/or the forfeiture of draft choice(s) for violations of the above, including first offenses.

It's important to note the use of the word "may" here. The NFL is not considering punishing fines on players or teams who choose to kneel or stay in the locker room during the national anthem, the spokesperson says.

Integrity and honor do not come from written words in a rule book. They are in the heart, soul and mind..... For God and Country. Seems lately there are enough wiggle words and back alley lawyers and elected officials to allow almost any form of deviant behavior as a 1st amendment right.... Larry

Sorry Itsc1, that came right out of the book, if you think its wrong send them a note (letter), explaining where they are in error ... The jury (people of America) are still out on the kneeling , but you can bet your azz they are catching all kinds of heat and well they should be ... Read it and weep ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Kaerpernic is now saying he will stand for the National Anthem if they will just let him play ... Personally, I would not let him play if everyone on the team got one free kick to his groin area as well as the opposing team also ... Standing or kneeling the guy is a Moron besides being a spoiled brat ... While he has time off he should go and get a Nose Job, he needs one badly ... WPT ... (YAC) ...
