Repairs to the road at Sparta WSRC

Where are the repairs to the road at Sparta? Will there ever be a permanent repair? Is the IDNR waiting for the ATA to vacate? Scoop please?

 

Don't know if they can ever be permanent. Ground just not stable enough. But I hope they try to fix it by next spring!

 

Never heard of that? Illinois could not repair the road because the ground is not stable?

 

Didn't say they can't. I just don't think it would last. Lots of roads have areas that break up because the base moves under it. But I do hope they try and fix it !

 

When I drive thru the sparta complex all I see are 70 thousand macho 4x4 and 16 thousand dollar golf carts and I am sure a few bumps in the road will not make a difference to them finding there way to there trap bank.Maybe we need a special road for these macho machines.

 

The roads at the WSRC are crumbling. Few care. Certainly not the taxpayers in Illinois.

 

Rumor has it that the roads were paved (black topped) on a base that was not compacted nor was it the type of base normally used so the structural soundness of the roads has been in question for a few years ... There have been many that say many short cuts were taken because getting the WSRC up and running was a priority so the ATA would not have to eliminate the grand one year so there would of been time to do things right ... There are so many who will not go there , what difference does it make (Hillary Clinton /Bengazie) ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

There are only 2 spots in the road that are crumbling. The problem is one of them is just in front of the main building and the 2nd is just east of that when going down the hill before you get to the east parking lot entrance. The other miles of road are fine. The hill seeps water.
