The ATA has expectations of 250 shooters for the U. S. Open. Your thoughts.

If they use all 120 traps, shooters shouldn't have long waits!

 

There will be a few more thinking if there are only 250 instead of 509 "my odds to win are better"

 

Can't use all the traps. Remember, traps went to the Cardinal Center.

 

If they use 100 traps for 50 squads they'll end up broke. Of course, there amateurs are still figuring this whole shoot management thing out!

 

Sparta has all Pat's on the trap fields, none went anywhere. The traps you are referring to must have been used for sporting clays.

 

They can start at 8:00AM, be finished by 12:00 noon and still have a lot of time to see (take in) all of the local sites , talk about planning .. This will give those in attendance time to spend money so they can reach the 20/30 Million brought into the local and regional economy ... All is good ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Are we talking Tentative, possible, probable, maybe or its any body's guess ..? With all of the advertising and promotion, I would imagine the turn out would be poor to pitiful ... They should Chit (oopps) in one hand and wish in the other and see which ones fills up the fastest ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

 

I wonder if Barry Roach will brag about attendance this year?

 

Barry wanted to be a part of something, anything and some how he sucked up to the ATA and got free shirts and hats and who knows what ..? ... He does absolutely nothing to promote the sport other than walk around with his shirt/hat and the ATA logo on them ... He is very thinned skinned and is one of those who always wants to sue or prosecute somebody over nothing ... I told him once, "you mess with the Bull, you get the horn" , he threatened to sue me for threatening him so be careful around him (said he never heard anything like that before, and took it as a threat ) ... He is a Momma's boy personified and a suck up, so he will report you for anything even if its nothing at all ... He is one of those who is real easy to NOT like ... He avoids me at all cost and thats a good thing ... The last thing the ATA needed was another like him ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

No ... the "Dark Side" requires you use a single "face". You can be grouchy in the open ...

The fear of losing their "ATA" cash cow tit makes some feel the need to berate others via PM only. I have "been there done that" with "Barry"

 

PATHETIC, I can remember when we could get (250 shooters) at a two day shoot at the Great Eastern or the Bill Jaqua club for a two day shoot. Our leaders have let the sport down big time. I watch at Ben Avery here in Phoenix and every time I am there I see as many as 23 people being instructed on how Sporting Clays works. Their are people there to direct them to that sport and no other. (where are the trap promoters?)
Our leaders are all playing cover my a$$, because of the mistakes made with the Sparta complex. I think Sparta is a beautiful complex, but it is like a luxery boat sitting in the desert. Lovely to look at, but not usable. Roger C.

 

I totally agree with these statements and I sure miss Great Eastern and Aden. After all I worked with him for 10 or so years.

WPT I will estimate a possible of 15 squads at WRSC for US Open w/90% being Illinois Shooters
