I LIKE THE NEW POWDERS LOW GRAINS LOTS MORE RELOADS PER JUG. SHOOTING PP ANS HI GUN PRETTY FINE GRAIN POWDERS MY PROBLEM IS WITH LIGHT LOADS THERE IS CRIMPING HOLES I TRIED 3 DIFFERENT WADS AND STILL HOLES. I AM NOW INCREASING THE LOAD FROM 7/8 TO 1 OZ TO FIX THE PROBLEM.WOULD LIKE TO SEE A WAD MADE FOR LIGHT LOADS IN 7/8 AND 1 OZ LOADS

I have worked up loads for others using Perfect Pattern in both 7/8 and 1oz using both Remington and AAHS hulls. To get good stack height you need to downsize the wad, so for your 1oz loads use the CB1078-12 wad, and for your 7/8oz load use the CB1075-12.

Try lowering the pre crimp until they just about touch.

Those super light powder charges are tough on the crimp with the usual wads.

Bumping to 1 oz is the easy fix most guys end up doing. A dedicated light load wad would be nice, but until somebody makes one, just stick with the 1 oz and call it good.

Those fine grain low charge powders are great for stretching a jug, but they can be finicky with light loads and leave you with crimp holes if the wad doesn’t fill the space right.

Bumping to 1 oz is a solid quick fix. A dedicated light-load wad for 7/8 1 oz would be nice, but until someone makes one just keep experimenting with the ones that have a bit more cushion or try a different crimp depth.

I believe there would be a huge market for a taller wad for one ounce loads in any of the common hulls being reloaded in both straight wall and tapered. From what is currently available powder wise. I doubt the older bulky common powders will be back anytime soon. One ounce loads are great, but putting them in 3/4 or 7/8 ounce wads leaves some shot unprotected and seems somewhat counter productive.
