Local sporting clays club is now throwing black targets. I find them extremely hard to see in green and wooded backgrounds- Will any color lenses help?

they're generally thrown in the sky.

History repeating itself. Back in the sixties that's all the local club threw. Black during the day, white at night.

Grab some yellow or amber lenses, they’ll make those black birds a lot easier to pick up...

Colored lenses help more than most people think. Rose or vermillion lenses are the ones that worked best for me, they cut a lot of the green and make the black stand out better. Orange or amber can help too if it’s a brighter day, but rose is usually the winner on wooded courses. Clear or yellow didn’t do much for the black ones.
