I’ve been running 1 oz of #7½ over 16.5–17 gr of Perfect Pattern in the 16 gauge and it’s been patterning really well. Clean, mild, and consistent so far. Worth playing with if you’ve got the powder.
Hodgdon only publishes Perfect Pattern data for 12ga light loads. A few guys on the forums have experimented with 16ga 7/8 oz, but nothing solid or published for a 1 oz load yet. Stick with the powders that already have proven 16ga data.
