Who owns Ljutic now? Is Ljutic still making guns?

Perhaps, but correspondence was recently sent to Jere Irwin, the owner of Irwin Research & Development, with interest regarding the sale of the company. I do not know anymore other than a group of investors based in southern Ohio were the ones asking if Irwin would be interested in selling.

An insider, as little as a month ago, said that Ljutic was indeed for sale for $1.1 million if I remember correctly. Evidently there is no interest at that price. According to my source it has been for sale for quite awhile now.

Trap needs another quality gun made in the U.S. at a reasonable price.... krieghoff, seitz, perazzi, blazer, kolar etc prices are excessive..I would think there would be a market for a ljutic if the price is right...

From what I have been told, by a ljutic dealer, is that all the machinery is gone, and there is not much left of the company, other than the name.

There was a discussion at the club the other day, about what shotguns not to buy, because of very little, if any support, with regards to parts, etc. Ljutic was right at the top of the list. The argument was made, that why would you buy one when you could get a Browning or a Beretta, etc, and still get support for them.

There is only one ljutic dealer that I know of, and maybe a small amount of gunsmiths who will still service them. And I don't think that the dealer is a gunsmith...
