the folks on another post who were complaining about the job being done by Liz should be real happy. You managed to have here removed as our delegate. Now can we expect to see BIG change. Please make sure you post all the great stuff our new delegate is getting done. i would like to nominate Limashooter for the job, but we must have a name. i bet he would do a great job

Austin didn't earn my vote and Liz didn't seem to need it. Austin didn't do any favors for the OSTA. See the attendance during his tenure.
Austin's pals rushed in to vote. I am sure Liz could have made an appearance here.

This site was rough on Blair. That helped Liz get the nod. Liz did it herself this time. There wont be changes. lol jmho

 

Somebody voted for him. This is a forum that supports the opinions of opposing parties. The way it should be.

Sometimes the 2nd amendment overshadows the first. They go together.

NO! That is a major cop out sir. I may be wrong but I believe you are an ex OSTA officer. How many times did you or other OSTA people visit changing how you elect delegates? Neither candidate campaigned or stated their platform right?

You don't like who you have as delegate right?

It is only important enough to complain about the outcome. Not important enough to change the method.

 

If you believe the OSTA needs changes, I encourage you to run for a Director position and be part of making those changes happen. The Board can always benefit from members who are willing to contribute their time, ideas, and effort.
It's easy to criticize from the sidelines, but real change comes from those who are willing to step up, serve, and do the work. If you have ideas that will make the organization better, I sincerely hope you'll put your name forward and help make them a reality.

 

That's been my point from my first comment. if you do not like what is going on, you need to voice your opinion and/or get involved by taking a position on the board. Limashooter50 was calling Lis a zero. He never explain what was wrong or how to fix the problem. Easy to bitch and set on the side lines.

 

It seems that Lima Shooter just follows the Demoncrat play book. Bitch at everything Trump doe's, no soultions and it's not democrat it is demoncrat.

Long time lurker here .....first time typer

If I were to run this is where I would state my platform. All the above posts say this is the place to start. Strange that some of the above don't want to hear your opinions. Obviously this is the type platform you would need to get your message across. None of the recent OSTA Presidents have wanted to do that. None of the delegates wanted their platform to be public or they would have been here.

My campaign would start by saying how childish the civil war is between NW and SW Ohio groups. And I would chastise the NE Zone for their apathy.

And why would anyone want to run if the OSTA can't follow their own by-laws. (HOF and Parliamentary Process) Maybe I should wait until the OSTA thinks it is important to change the election process.

Look at the OSTA Stats since 2012-2013. Don't tell me not to complain. The sport is in trouble. You guys aren't the answer now. But, you could be.

Maybe I will run. Fix the process first.

 

Would the current leaders listen to me? I doubt it. I read the current leaders remove their own HOF members. Next man or woman up right?

 

You spend a lot of time telling everyone what's wrong, but I'm sure you won't step up to fix any of it.
If you think the OSTA is failing, stop campaigning from behind a keyboard and put your name on the ballot. Campaign on your ideas, earn the members' votes, and then do the work. That's how organizations improve.
It's easy to criticize the people who are willing to serve. It's much harder to put your own name on the line and accept the responsibility that comes with it.
Until then, you're just another anonymous poster telling everyone else how they should do the job while accepting none of the responsibility yourself.

 

Wideangle, and a handful of the same people on here, never seem to miss an opportunity to bash the OSTA. Yet Ohio continues to host the biggest—and many would argue the best—state shoot in the country. The results don't exactly support the narrative you're trying to sell.
Is the OSTA perfect? No. No organization is. But it's easy to sit behind a keyboard second-guessing the people who are actually doing the work.
If you honestly believe you can do better, quit posting and put your name on the ballot. Earn the members' confidence, accept the responsibility, and prove your ideas work. Until then, it's just another round of criticism from someone with nothing invested but an opinion.

What makes you think I haven't been involved? Your group can't even follow your own rules or procedures.
Until I decide to be involved again I am going to be very active pointing out how you have dragged the OSTA down. If not for Joe this would have been another record low for the shoot.

You weren't able to debate a single point I made. You have made it too easy to critique. All you can do is say shut up. Not going to happen.

You guys let the Secretary go. The same person that was inducted into the HOF for her commitment. And you tell us not to be critical of the current OSTA Board.

I hope you are not the replacement. Your spelling needs work.

 

You still haven't answered the same question: if you're convinced the OSTA is being run so poorly, why not step up and help fix it?
Instead, you've chosen to sit on a forum and criticize the people who are actually doing the work. That's your choice, but don't confuse constant criticism with leadership.
As for Joe, I don't think anyone would disagree that he contributed to the success of the shoot. The Ohio State Shoot is successful because of many dedicated people—not just one.
If you believe the Board violated the bylaws or parliamentary procedure, cite the specific provision and explain it. If you're right, let's discuss the facts. If not, then it's just another accusation.
And if your strongest argument is grading my spelling instead of addressing the substance of what I said, I think you've made my point for me.

A few officers have done their best to keep the members from speaking at the yearly meeting.

Isn't that the real gem? NW officers have been excluded from contributing and or kept from committees.

He created an event better than any event the OSTA has put on since the Grudge Match. Joe brought back some of those customers you lost. Were you paying attention? He more than "contributed."

I can campaign any way I want. How will you stop me? If you can't handle criticism then get a new job. Of course you would like to silence me.
