The US Open and WSRC still can't attract shooters.

The Cardinal Center draws more to the Buckeye than the US Open and WSRC. All the added money and extra points....and all the wasted money that goes into promoting that joint could be going to promoting trapshooting. JOKE

 

Caterpillar left Illinois for Texas, I think this just about how user friendly Illinois is--what really irks me about Sparta is the following:

Lack of lodging close by

Lack of good restaurants nearby

Most important the risk of high temperature. & the distance to medical facilities--Leo could have survived his stroke if help wasn't so far away

If u build a great facility in the middle s--ts creek, it doesn't matter how good the facility is -its still in s--ts creek

 

ONLY THE BENJIMENS KNOW THE REAL REASON THE MOVE WAS MADE TO SPARTA. Roger C.

Event Entries Buckeye: 3,462
Event Entries US Open: 3,734 (Without extra event Saturday 3,467)
(US Open did have 1 more event than the Buckeye)

US Open: 30 States Represented
Buckeye: 13 States/Provinces Represented

If only they were not on the same weekend.

WSRC to Sparta Community Hospital - 8.4 Miles (Nearest Hospital)
ARCH Air Medical Base also located in Sparta with a Helicopter available.

wsrc brad, your claim is an outright disgrace. my shooting buddy went to the sparta hospital not feeling well. They told him he had indigestion. a couple hours later he had a massive heart attack and died. So much for your hospital and doctors. rvh

 

I know you work there and MUST say everything you can to try and make it sound like a great place to go, but Geeeeezzz, save it for someone that doesn’t know any better.

If that place in ILLnews is such a wonderful place please tell the class why the number of shooters that actually shoot in the GAH event is ALWAYS PATHETIC.

And please, don’t blame the “economy”, that dog won’t hunt. The numbers have sucked since the day they opened that White Elephant. The governor back then saw the big crowds at Vandalia and thought the money would come to ILLnews. He was wrong. They FAFO !
Now, if the PRICKster had his way, you would be out of a job. Unless of course the ata bought it and kept you on. I pray they do. I would love to see the ata spend MILLIONS on that place.

When you are finished spinning why people won’t go there, you can tell us why, even after the SCTP was offered FREE targets, they told the ATA and the WSRC to kick rocks and signed a multi year deal with the CC.
I understand you can’t say anything negative about the place you work for fear of getting fired so the best thing you could do is just not say anything.

 

Event entries says Brad yes he works there. There were more entries. Far fewer people. Fact is the joint has failed. Fewer people went. Fewer shot. The few that were there had to shoot more.

Brad needs a job. The Buckeye got most of its shooters from Ohio. WSRC needed to add money and points to draw fewer from many more states.

 

And Illinois has lost the Chicago Bears to Indiana--another nail in the Illinois coffin by a state that's is the epitome of FUBAR

 

But Prickster and his lackey johnson are still lying like rugs, to try to convince the simpletons that there is still hope...
