Don't get all butt hurt about the question. Last year management confirmed that there was folks willing to pay those that would receive it money for the preferred banks.

Then we heard that scam was off and all shoots were going to be fair. Then we heard not so fast. Only the shoots that didn't matter would be fair.

I am hoping someone will let us know.

Are all the shoots and events going to be fair?

I believe there perfered banks are no more. But we will
See if the chosen ones will be on the same banks. PSSA will be drawing banks again
    This year

That statement is BULLSHIT! Saying they drew banks last year is a crock. They drew banks on the shoots and events that didn't matter. Please don't give us the drawing banks again crap.

If PA wants a fair shoot we will have one. I was hoping someone could give out an absolute yes or no.

Why don’t you ask the PSSA themselves?

From Steve Ross, Tournament Directors update message listed on PSSA website dated 4/1/2026

"For this coming year, we will be doing random bank rotations for all events except for the Westy Hogans. I still receive mixed reviews on the rotations but skew more in favor of having it done this way. Everyone knows the backgrounds are different on all the banks and the wind plays different games on several sections of banks. However, by far the largest downside that I’ve heard about rotating is that shooters may not be able to set up shop behind one bank for the entire day. One item that I have not heard is that it is unfair since everyone is at the mercy of the lottery. The exception of the Westy Hogans from rotating is due to the need for volunteer help and the amount of daylight that we have available."

Geeeeeezzzz, what would some of these “competitors” do if they had to move 10 TRAPS between each 25? It was like shooting in four different time zones. And no one complained. It was just the way it was.
We hiked up our big boy pants and shot.
Bad backgrounds, bad weather, bad pullers, bad targets, bad hangovers from closing down the Holiday Inn bar the night before. It didn’t matter one bit.
And those bad targets? The wind and rain could make them bad enough but the year they threw Woody Browns lousy targets was something to see.

So far as Elysbug is concerned, it's probably a moot point anyway. Even with the efforts of Steve Ross & Don Neilson to right the ship through bank rotation and newly implemented "shoot your doubles any time" proposal, a quick look at attendance trends predicts the final chapter. There was grumbling about Steve's plan to rotate banks but it actually worked out quite well. The issue of older & physically limited shooters dealing with the climb on banks 9 & 10 were nicely accommodated by Steve's thoughtful placing of golf cart "taxis" to ferry shooters back & forth. Unfortunately, the current hemorrhage of shooters in the NorthEast supports the suggestion that it won't be too many years until only the top banks (1 - 8) will be utalatized for the State Shoot is sadly coming to fruition, and the once proud crown jewel of trapshooting that Elysburg represented is dying a slow death. The local clubs with their 50 target leagues, cheaper targets, great kitchens and better prizes, not to mention Lewis payouts without 1099's, are helping shooters decide to stay home.... and they are, lots of 'em!

    Mike...
Thanks for you 02 on things there.
The part about only old people are shooting is a symptom of keeping the younger blue collar shooters out. Your delegates never made an effort to keep the sport challenging. They never tried to keep the handicap system working. They allowed the targets to be narrower and shorter. You are describing the symptoms of your delegates decisions.

Skip went along to get along and PA shooters didn't care. The money left. The younger blue collar shooters left. The people with fancy guns that are satisfied with a 85 from the 27 remain.

Your delegate won't make an effort to change anything. The Ohio Delegate is at least as bad. The Grand will stay in Sparta until the ATA is buried.

At least your competition will be fair.
