rib style for sporting / skeet

Do you prefer an adjustable rib or fixed low rib o/u for sporting / skeet shooting? Let's hear your pros and cons of each..

 

I shoot a 30" fixed rib K 80 Parcours with a # 3 sporting stock with an Isis recoil system-for sporting ,
no washers in comb, for trap , I add 1/8" washers

My other guns had adjustable everything, best friend is red loctite

 

Do you have the Parcours X barrel or the regular lighter parcours barrel?

 

I have the lighter barrel, Had Robert Hight, who bought out Wilkson tune the barrel, I have the following chokes , 2 skeet, 2 IC, 1 LM & 1 IM- the Parcours is 2 lbs lighter than my Infinity

 

You gave a great set up. I have the 30" pro sporter for skeet and sporting with Kolar AAA sub gauge tubes. Weight in stock. Perfect balance.

 

fixed low rib...on a gun fitted to me.
adjustables have too many chances to be tempted to compensate for mistakes, instead of correcting the human error.
imo.

the term in rifle/pistol shooting is...chasing dope. with everything adjustable these days, its a setup to chase dope with shotgunning.

 

My pro sporter has the wedge system the end of the bbl. The never version has the wheel. I set mine once and never made an adjustment. Been 12 years now.

 

as long as you adjust it and forget it, youre ok....but i can tell ya a lot of shooters never give up.
i like the idea of taking away the temptation!

 

Mine is set...never have to adjust anything. The wedge is hard to swap out, compared to the ease of the spinning the wheel.
