Our local NAPA Auto Parts & Do it Best Hardware store in Plain City donated a Milwaukee M18 FUEL Sawzall Reciprocating Saw to our raffle, with an MSRP of $229.00. You can get a ticket for a chance to win this saw, no matter your score! Every event entry includes one free ticket, and additional tickets can be purchased for $5 each or $20 for five.

The Stoeger S4000-E Suppressed Air Rifle, donated by Bottom Dollar Gun & Archery, is also up for grabs in the same raffle, so the first winner will have first choice, and so on until we are out of prizes.

Hello shooters! We are just a couple of days away from our 80 YEAR 80 BIRD CALCUTTA! I wanted to make this post to lay out all of the info about this shoot to avoid as many questions as possible!

FORMAT: 80 22yd Targets. 40 per trap, 8 per post.

COST: Total cost with Calcutta entry fee, Lewis, and the long runs is $40. There is an additional minimum self buy of $10 for the Calcutta. Cash only will be accepted for the Calcutta, Lewis, and LRs. Checks can be made for the $26 target fee.

PRIZES: The Calcutta is paying out 50/30/20, with a 60/40 split favoring the buyer. As of making this post, the Calcutta has $600 added money thanks to generous sponsors Allseal Sealcoating LLC, Buckeye Realty Group, Ltd, GunClubSites(dot)com, the Holcomb’s, and in Memory of Mark Hawkins. The Lewis Class is traditional, 50/30/20, and pays two places per class at a 60/40 split. There are no trophies for this shoot.

RAFFLE: By shooting all of the options ($40 plus min. bid $10), you will be given a raffle ticket with a chance to win a Milwaukee M18 Sawzall (donated by NAPA/Do it Best in Plain City), a Stoeger Air Rifle (donated by Bottom Dollar Gun & Archery), or a few other clothing items from our clubhouse shop donated by MCF&G and Rick Allen. The prizes will be selected on a first-draw-first-pick system, so you must be present to win. If you aren't shooting, or you’d like to purchase additional tickets, they will be $5 each or $20 for 5. We will also have a 50/50 for $1 a ticket or $5 for 6.

SQUADS: As of now, we have plenty of room to accommodate day-of registration. We have two traps, and both are lighted. Targets and money must be paid by the ‘selling of the board’ at 12:45pm to ensure an accurate board is available to sell.

PRACTICE: We will open trap 1 for practice at 12:00 Noon until 12:45. Practice rounds are $7 and can be paid before shooting.

WEATHER: It’s going to be cold. When not shooting, you can take comfort and enjoy a meal in our heated clubhouse. We will have a heater in our barn between traps to warm up between 40s. We will have Hand Warmers for sale ($2/pk).

SUMMARY: This shoot features 80 targets from 22 yards, including Calcutta, Lewis, and long-run options, with $600 added money and multiple raffle prizes for participants. Registration, practice, and payment run before the 12:45 board sale, with open squads, heated clubhouse, and cold-weather accommodations available. If there are any additional questions, send this page a message. Hope to see you all Sunday!

scorecard.png payouts.png ChadArkenberg.png AdamFritz.png CalebAlt.jpg IMG_0502.jpg Despite brutal winter weather, we had a great 80 Year celebration on December 14. We had 18 shooters participate, and had a total prize pool of over $1,200.

Sponsors AllSeal Sealcoating LLC., Buckeye Realty Group, GunClubSites(dot)com, Treasurer Mickey and Secretary Sonja Holcomb, and in memory of Mark Hawkins, added a total of $600 added money into our Calcutta. NAPA Auto Parts in Plain City and Bottom Dollar Gun & Archery in Washington Court House contributed raffle prizes. Fred Gilliam donated a $100 steak dinner to the shooter with the lowest score.

We had 18 shooters and some big payouts for those who braved the weather!

Gunner Hall hit 74/80 and walked away with $667. Chad Arkenberg hit the second score in the Calcutta with a 73 and hit the Long Run Reverse to walk away with $438. Adam Fritz hit the Long Run Forward and the third score in the Calcutta with a 71 to walk away with $292.

Thanks to all who participated, all of our sponsors who helped the event, and all members past and present who have helped our club stay around for eighty years.
