Just wondering, along with many others, how a 30.06 doesn't take ones head off at that range.

 

He was hit in the neck. it is very soft tissue. less expansion of projectile. and it may have been military ammo.

Latest from the medical examiner says he found the bullet inside. So agree about the expansion. But wouldn't think both instances could be true. So soft tissue = minimal expansion, but soft tissue can't stop the bullet. Also confirmed by his wife was no exit wound.
