Who has the scoop on this? Who will be the shoot manager at the Cardinal Classic?

 

I hope it's not someone with Ties to the ATA

 

I have been informed by an unreliable and drunkard source that recent OSTA Hall of Fame inductee RJ Stuart is filling in as manager of your beloved Cardinal Center.

 

That would be a very big mistake. He needs to return to Florida where he is a resident!!!!!

He can't even run his own website let alone anything else!!!!!!

 

Unfortunately it looks like the best we can hope for is that the cardinal center gets sold. Talking with workers and venders,sounds like some big changes for next year. Eagle golf carts may be gone and the CC going to have there own carts to rent,and there talking about haveing there own shell house that means no venders will be able to sell shells.these decisions are not being made by the manager.

 

Sound business decision. You can get a loan to buy the golf carts and why wouldn't you want to earn profits from the sale of ammo?

 

They don’t have people to do maintenance on the grounds - who is gonna work on the carts? If only one place is selling shells, there is no competition on pricing. So now I will have to drive to AJ’s shop to get supplies.

I hope SCTP enjoys the facility

 

they are pumping there own oil,iguess they should make some pitch and produce there own targets.how about all that shot in the field they could also manufacture there own line of shells.how about maintaining the property and keeping Shooters and VENDERS happy.

 

I heard they now charge $8/practice.....the cardinal is not about making the backbone of their business happy, the shooters , it's about making money .

They are no longer pumping any oil. Daniel sold all the oil wells. So, no pitch. They own enough equipment they could blacktop to whole area. The wells were providing around $600,000+ a month income. Sold all 100+ wells for some where in the vicinity of $8,000,000.00. Everything is down hill since Jack died. He would not be happy with the current situation.

 

Papa, Some of you guys are just too nice. All that CRAP from "fro" about the oil and targets, along with the shot and making their own shells was just that, a load of sarcastic CRAP.

 

Just trying to fit in.it may be sarcasm,but i am correct, at this point the best we can hope for is the CC being sold apparently just like everything else. Dont misunderstand the CC Is one of my favorite places to shoot.Big Pappa is right it is headed down hill.

Not sure who FAB is talking to but just in case its me, here we go again.My name is Jeff Friedhoff Ihelp run Harrison GC in the south west corner of the state,My campsite at the CC is424 and has been so since june of 2006 (witch is why I get to have a opinion on the CC) I run 2 of the bigest Calcuttas in the state each year.Im at middletown every Saturday through the fall and winter.ishoot at Williams county, NewportGC.FAB (Flyersarebest) who are you? How long have you had a camp site at ths CC? Are you even a Ohio resident? Are you an active trapshooter? Where do you shoot? Would love to know these answers to find out if your opinion has any relevance to the CC or ohio trapshooting.BTW. Thanks for noticeing my sarcasm im trying to hone my skill to be as good as you some day.

Let me try to guide this subject back on track.
I had a group of fellow trap shooter at Classic ask for a target reset on their doubles trap. They told the story that old "RJ", came running down the trap line when he was informed by another member of the staff about the request. According to the squad members he was throwing a fit about it. I asked "why is RJ getting involved with a trap reset anyway?"
So it sounds like he was indeed filling in.
BTW, Fro is a "good guy." (Jmho)

When Luke was fired and I was asked to TD the CC a couple of years back I could not believe how bad the CC was. Put an incompetent woman in charge and you get Cracker Barrel, that's what I saw when I was back and I gave them three years to be gone or sold. Dan has sold off a lot of Jack's stuff, the place started going to hell when Karen died. So all woman aren't incompatent, but hiring an incompetent woman is death. Too bad but they had a pretty good run. That ground is worth gobbs, I'd guess between 50 - 100 K an acre. What do you think will happen?

 

Really hope I'm wrong. But I'm thinking Amazon warehouse and similar.

I never asked for your name. I look before I say anything. I saw you joined in 2015. I wanted the name of the BRAND NEW GUY THATJUST SIGNED UP SO HE COULD START SOMETHING.
And you could have stated how you felt about the CC without the lame try at sarcasm. And it was CRAP.

 

You answered none of the questions. Nice to know that going foward your opinion on the CC and Ohio trapshooting is irrelevant. Be gone.

 

I don't have an opinion on the CC or Ohio trap shooting. What I do have is the job of being a moderator. And that entails calling out posts that are pretty much USELESS.
And BTW, I guarantee you that I will be here a lot longer than you will.

Do yourself a favor and don't make your 24th post be your last. It would be a shame to see you lose the opportunity to post what you want about your club.
