It seems to have slipped through the radar, but there's a note: "Possible Category Revision". Apparently there's a proposal being offered to the EC at the Grand American Meeting that will change Veteran Category age to 65 to 74yrs, and Sr Vet to 75yrs and up. It may have already passed.
IT IS TIME TO RETIRE THE ENTIRE E.C. the senior vet's of today are the ones that built the ata, now they are kicked to the side. we all know the b.o.d. are a bunch of losers, and we can not count on them for anything. ROGER C.
It's interesting that it was voted down, and at first, one might think that they didn't want a category change to interfere with future plans to create a new Super Sr. Vet category. However, in discussions with a couple of delegates, there seems to be little interest in the creation of a Super Sr. Vet Category anytime in the future. Apparently, so far as the EC is concerned; it's a dead issue and not open to further discussion.
Quotes like that hurt the ATA. The EC is not in charge. The BOD is in charge. The problem is the lazy assed BOD is uniformed. They dont even know they are in charge.
