Congrads Dave Berlet on 200 straight at Sparta

I talked to Dave tonite, him and Dirk are at Sparta. he broke a 200 straight today at the grand. I asked him when he broke his first 200 at the grand and he thinks in 1962 or 63. This would be 62 or 63 years between his first grand 200 and this one. Good shooting Dave.

Brad, you frequently mention the good ole days in trapshooting. I cannot guess how many targets I have shoot over the years with you and Dave. I will never forget one event that we shot together at Jaqua's. It was a week or so before the Grand. You come to the line with FOUR different boxes of shells, Your reasoning was you could not determine what shells you wanted to shoot at the Grand. Any how, you broke a hundred straight from the 27. I remember when we got done I asked you what shells you were going to shoot. You sid "not sure". Do you remember that shoot? What year was it?

 

BIG PAPA I can't remember, early 2000's I'd guess. I never seen the need to sweat the small stuff.

Brad, I checked my old ATA cards and My first 200 was during the 1964 grand in the interductory singles ( Monday ). I believe that totals out to 62 years. Where in the world did all those years go? This was my 85th registered 200.
