K80 Wenig trap stock for sale. Comb height is for a pro rib. It has very few minor handling marks on butt stock and none on the forend. LOP is 14-1/2” with trigger in the forward position. This stock was on a gun I purchased so I don’t know the exact dimensions. $1000 delivered to the lower 48

I asked you to repost what you posted on the “find a scammer” page. Tell the members the details of what happened. You can copy and paste. I want everyone to know what happened. Then we can deal with the seller if we find he “sidestepped” the rules.
guy "Birdog" lists a stock for sale for $1,000, I messaged him I'll take it and he calls me to say he's got a guy that will pay him $1,250 . I didn't think this was an auction site.
Didn't get back to me ! If I had known it was up for bidding I would have given him more than $1,250.00 ! A LOT MORE !!
First, this isn’t an auction site. So there is no way you “would have known” Second, if the seller deliberately tried to get around the rules he will be dealt with. Third, why don’t you PM him and offer $3,500.00? He would probably be glad to tell the buyer that he got a better deal and sell it to you. Or, ask him who he sold it to, PM them and offer A LOT MORE
Waiting on the seller to post how this simple sale went down the rabbit hole. My 9 year old Greatgrandson could have done a better job of selling OR buying this wood. Flyersarebest Moderator
This is what I sent to flyersarebest. I’m the person who was selling the Wenig stock. I got a pm from a guy offering $1250 for my stock. Out of curiosity I contacted the guy raising all the fuss about this being an auction site and told him what was going on and he said never mind I was going to offer $1000. I text the guy offering $1250 and he said he would do Zelle or Venmo and I told him I only deal in cash or check and he said he couldn’t do that and it wasn’t left hand anyway. I figured it was a scam so I excepted the firstpm that said they would have a cashier check sent out Monday morning. SOLD

Is the wood SOLD, or not? And just for the record, when someone is the first person to contact you and they offer more than the stated price, IT’S A SCAM. If it’s the second person and they just want to “outbid” the guy that already said he would take if for the stated price, they think they are slick and I tell them no way I would do it. They are just jag offs.
THIS is why we don’t delete posts. He said, he said. If you were the FIRST one to PM him and say you wanted it for the $1,000.00, you should have got it.
With so much being said about the stock. I am the guy that bought the stock for exactly what it was listed for no more & no less.
