    Hi

Would anyone know where I could get a fair price on a collection of guns I have?
    Shotguns and Rifles
I have rifle ammo for some of them, its all factory ammo

All guns are in working order and some are more collectors but could be used.

Prefer to all in 1 lump some but can think about other options

    Thanks
    Gene

For me, I wouldn't use Rock Island Auction Company.

Well that a great place but my location from them is a little far away I am in Iowa.
Would you have a place closer to Iowa?

You might ask them. I think they buy collections everywhere depending on collection of course

They will bring top dollars -My problem is 17.5% buyers fee -- 3.5% Creditcard fee --1% using the internet bid platform -Plus 5.5% states sales tax for me --.Thats the Buyers add on then sellers fee last I knew was 17%. And if it's a big collection, along comes I.R.S. forms.

I have purchased and sold with Rock Island, they are first class. They have the most accurate descriptions, best photos, respond to emails and have options to appraise and even pick up your collection. Their accounting and payments are timely and accurate! Yes there is a buyers and seller premium. If you are the seller are you worried about the buyer premium? They have the best catalogs and spend time and money marketing to buyers, I get a call now and again on things I may be interested in. If you want fair pricing and no nonsense for a large collection I highly recommend.

First stop guns in South Dakota also buys large collections. He will come to you to see them. He sells almost all long guns

  14. If you talk with Jaquas and get them an inventory list, they would likely make the trip, I know they have gone much further for collections.

Rock Island's internet and catalog pictures are black as coal. A buyer has to be there to bid intelligently.
