According to the most recent minutes put out by the ATA, Lynn Gipson says added money has no impact on attendance at the Grand. He pointed to 2012 as a year having low attendance despite having the most added money.

    I report. You decide.

It's not a money problem. They could have doubled the money. It's that place in ILLnews that’s the problem.

If the added money was the 10000 or whatever the amount was, added to the last two handicaps, then hes correct. It paid 10 places and was a $15 option. IIRC. Why would I drive to Illinois, pay for an option that I have no realistic chance of winning? I dont think it ever paid below a 97.

The people in charge of the ATA, are dumber than a stick. At Tucson 2 weeks ago they had 1300 shooters at a sporting clays shoot. 1.300,000 targets were thrown, we should put those people in charge of the ATA. Roger

If the ATA said there will be $2 million on the handicap and it will be on the yardage and the Lewis, I might put a saddle on the horse and ride to Illinois.

Do your horse a favor and read all the ATA fine-print first ......

They seem to like Hi-Gun pay-outs ..... making you shoot all the Events ...... and win some Events to qualify ......

It is sad that the ATA is managed by mental-midgets that hope everyone is as stupid as they are ...............

I was not trying to bash the ATA but implying no amount of money can influence a venue you choose is lunacy. Who makes this up?

Keihl, If it all goes to hi gun, you might as well stay home. Bill Martin, has funded many big money Lewis purses, and few play them. It
is not the amount of money, it is the way it is distributed that keeps the average shooter from playing . The odds of winning are very slim for even a
A or AA shooter. The only option for the less skilled shooter is a lewis split 4 classes paying 40-30-20-10%.
