I would like to trade a Kolar pull pull bottom first with release hook for a Kolar pull pull bottom first trigger without release hook.
    thanks

I’m confused if it has a release hook then it not pull pull is it?

Per Kolar different triggers. If you have a pull trigger with the hook for a potential release it's a totally different trigger than a pull trigger without the hook for potential release.

They can pull the hook, put a standard out of battery pawl in, and reset the triggers to w/e you need. A different trigger will probably need to be fit to your receiver anyways (meaning shipping the entire gun) vs just sending your trigger back for service, plus assuming the serial numbers match now they won't when you're done.

YOU CAN LEAVE THE RELEASE HOOK IN THE TRIGGER. AND JUST GET HAMMERS WITHOUT THE RELEASE
LUG ON THE SIDE OF THE HAMMER. I CHANGE MINE ALL THE TIME TO RELEASE RELEASE, RELEASE PULL,
PULL PULL. THE SELECTOR ON THE BOTTOM OF THE TRIGGER MAKES IT TOP OR BOTTOM.

My kolar has release hooks or I would call them more like hammers but it can be release or pull whichever way I choose!

I read what you wrote a couple times. Not sure what your actually trying to do. Your best bet is to call Kolar. Great people

My point exactly. The pull trigger with the hook and a pull trigger without the hook are two totally different triggers.
Sometimes the pull trigger with the hook, on occasion won't brake crisply, but act more like it's the poundage of setting a release trigger, much heavier and not very consistent, as well as changing in poundage.
Grubbybones is right. When Kolar designed these triggers they were "one size fits all" pull, pull, release release, pull release, etc.
But to get a good consistent pull trigger (as confirmed by Kolar) you must have a "hook less pull trigger" or a pull trigger specific. I find that the hammer plunger spring can make contact with the release hook and I have found where the plunger is actually bent from trying to install around the release hook, this in itself would change lock time, timing and vary trigger poundage.
    Skeet_Man,
    Great input!!
I've had numerous lengthy conversations with Kolar on this subject and resulted in it's hard to get a good consistent pull trigger with a hook installed. Just confirmed, again, with Kolar the cost of pulling the hook, and installing a standard out of battery pawl.
$1000.00 which would include the need of new and different sears.

Soooo I thought it might be cost effective to post an add looking for someone that already had a hookless pull trigger in trade for a trigger that already had the hook, and save them $900.00 to convert a hookless pull trigger to a release trigger.

    Still looking,

    thanks

I too say thanks for the info, as I didn't know that! I've always shot double releases for trap, but started shooting sporting clays with a pull/pull, due to mostly low gun position. I wondered why the triggers didn't feel right, and felt really bad sometimes. Thanks again!
