Are the doubles targets that good? Or is it because Dysinger is the Tournament Director?

They were set with the radar gun. They also were set to not be seen above the curtain.

c13, You mean by the rule book. Most new shooters have never seen properly set targets. Roger C.

fridays doubles we were having targets from the traps on both sides of ours come clear across in front of our trap, they were set very stong which makes a wide pair of doubles

There's no such thing like a 3-hole Double. It wasn't that long ago we shot 50 yd. Doubles.

They were wide, but very fun and challenging to shoot. I liked them, broke 94 Sunday. It didn't win anything but I had a great time shooting them. The Cardinal was a great shoot as always.

Bob, on the traps that we shot doubles on the targets were not to wide and they were definitely too short. In my opinion one of the most detrimental things to setting good targets is the use of a radar gun. Also in many cases the setting of the doubles there is only a few seconds spent on each trap. A lick and a promise and thats close enough. Some of the real good doubles shooters can handle most any kind of a target, but poorly set doubles can be a serious problem for many shooters, me included.
