According to the ATA account and their own minutes…the ATA is worth over $23 million. The Executive Director will receive over $200,000.00. The President of the ATA will receive a free K80. Neither the ED or President have made a motion to eliminate or lower the fees.

Why is the No vote in bold and asterisk ?

I’m just curious what the benefit of eliminating the fee will be? Does the ATA have money? Sure- but when you consider the cost of a regular ATA shoot- 300 targets, 300 shells, gas getting there, motels or a camping spot for shoots away from home- the daily fees are such a small fraction of the cost, it’s pretty much negligible.

Justin, this would be a good way to "give something back to the shooters"
The ATA has a pretty good bank account and would like to share with the shooters. Plus, the attendance to ATA registered shoots is down.
I think the "no charge" for ATA and State FEES would help attendance at the small clubs.

P.S. Justin, are you Regis H. friend? SW Penn.

Interesting question. If attendance is down then their income is down and I would think expenses would remain the same but more likely are increasing. I know that if my income was down I would be tightening the belt. If they were to give back do you give back to those who are new and never payed any daily fees. Maybe the thing to do would not actually cost as much as eliminating fees like giving away a lifetime membership at each annual state shoot. I don’t know, I just see alot of money being given away recently which has not helped but actually hurt.

Now that Justin has sent it I deleted the phone number. You don't need any unwanted calls from warranty companies, health care providers, or death benefit salespeople from India. Thats why we want people to use the PM option.

BTW, Rege and I have been great friends since 1983. Ask him about the duck hunting trip we were on when his canoe blew off the roof on the way to the swamp one cold winter morning. It landed laying across RT 79 at 3:00 AM. Tied it back on and still made the morning flight.

    Flyersarebest,

He told me about that one. He also told me about you owing him a new duck identification book after one hunt.

    You misunderstood
It was my book he had to use.Years later he found the exact booklet and gave it to me.
I should post that story on the hunting page.

You can call your delegate. If he rocks the boat he might never get a free gun.

Daily fees don't seem so important when very soon ammo and components will be unavailable.

Where are they really available now? I’ve had to work my ass off to find the shells/components in the last year.
