Just got back my Rem 1100 from Simmons after adding rib and rebluing.
Next stop will be Keen ribs where they will add a ''Bump rib'' at end of barrel to give me the 4'' high rib I need.
Simmons can not build a 4'' high rib. I removed the factory Rem rib only to find out that Keen ribs can not put their ribs on a round barrel...Ouch!
That's the reason I had Simmons put the tallest steel rib they could on.
To complicate matters worse, I first called Roger Eubanks who built my Perazzi 4'' high rib which is very nice.
But sadly he is not doing any more of those that high, something to do with getting materials.

I have followed this thread for a while and this last post sounds like a lot of B.S. to me.

Roger, Eubanks told me to buy the material needed to build me another 4'' high rib, he would have to buy $2500.00 minimum order of material. Then have to sit on it
until other people wanted a 4'' high rib...not worth it. It was Eubanks who referred me to Vickie Keen who now will finish the rib to 4''.

I read your post earlier. So true.

Rookieshooter. Tell Mr. Eubanks to contact Onlinemetal.com. They have helped me often. Roger C.

I hope you are talking about the lack of material for rookie being BS and not about what he is doing to be able to shoot.

That was what I was meaning.

TOM. Must not be in a business where small amounts of materials are needed. I only needed 8 lbs. of material and was quoted $272.00 for it.
C-1018 is one of the cheapest materials on the market. The material is out there. but the price is prohibitive. Roger C.
