The only paperwork a California FFL needs from a private party is a copy of your Drivers' license. Not a whole lot of paper or BS. Good luck on your sale.

 

My FFL will not ship to cal. The problem comes from cal.

Private parties do not have to have a "transaction number" from Kalifornia

FFL holders DO HAVE TO GET A NUMBER. That is why some FFL's say no when you ask them to send it to Kalifornia.

The private SELLER does not have to go through a FFL. Now if the buyer's FFL demands that it goes through a FFL on the sellers end then tell the buyer to find another FFL.

I've sent more than 6 pieces to FFL's in Kalifornia without a problem. Two other sales went south when the buyer couldn't find a FFL that knew the Fed regulations or more likely, their "legal department" told them not to accept from a non licensee. Dig deep enough and you will always find a lawyer.

 

If you can't find an FFL that will ship to California, send to me. I'll ship it on my FFL

I’ve also sent guns to Commiefornia, as long as buyers FFL will receive from private party, all I had to do as mentioned above is enclose a copy of my drivers license.
