If you got the vaccine, please give a review of your experiences.

I actually got a call from my Cardiologist and PCP Doctor, said I qualified for the vaccine being as I am a heart patient ... I expressed my concerns about the vaccines not being anything other than Lab Tested as opposed to the normal procedures and time they take to make certain they are safe for humans , not just Rats and monkeys ... I was told under the circumstances this was going to be accepted as if it was tested by all involved and all batteries of testing would of been used ... I told them to let me know when all of the Politicians, their family's, the Medical Front liners, First responders and their family's, Bill Gates, his family, Dr Fauci and his family have all been vaccinated and there are no adverse effects, then call me but until then they can give mine to someone else ... I know she was still on the line because I could hear her breathing but she didn't say anything other than we will talk later ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Thanks, Indy! We're 75. Has anybody said anything about a person's age having an effect on the outcome as regards the side effects?

Update: The wife ended up with chills and aching joints for most of the first day after the vaccine. She says it was more an annoyance than anything. Seems to be over it today.

In another life I was a Paramedic, got to witness first hand some of the chemical reactions people had to prescribed medications (Tried and trued over many years ) and it is not always a pretty picture ... I have seen young people have dramatic reactions to the degree it took life support (advanced) as they were being transported to a Medical facility and unfortunately some of them did not make it and coded on us (code blue) as in DOA ... I asked specific questions about the vaccine and could not get specific answers other than they were "Lab Tested" which essentially means what ever they tested it on in the lab did not have a reaction to or die from it ... I have been told by more then one of my Doctors the worse kind of patient they can have is one who knows to much, or seen to much, I assumed they were talking about me ... I sincerely pray for anyone who takes the vaccine as well as those who choose not to which is the column I will be in until I am convinced it is at least as safe as the other vaccines that have been tested 30, 40, 50 years under all conditions but not limited to the Lab tests ... I was confronted by seeing people who took medication and there was no way to stop (reverse) the effects in time, be that as they may ... Just my luck the vaccine would kill me or maybe not ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I have seen ( watched ) all of the Hero's (Doctor's /Politicians) get their shot on the television to show they have no concerns about the safety of the vaccines, first thing came to my mind is are they getting vaccine or a shot of sterile saline, or possibly heparin which would be harmless and there is also no after effects right away or in the future ... I guess this is one of the things my Doctor was talking about when she told me about certain patients being the worst kind ... I sincerely hope and Pray the Vaccines are effective, safe, and there are no after effects long or short term for those who got the shots ... I might be overly careful, but I have had more than one Doctor tell me on more than one occasion they didn't think I was going to walk out of the Hospital due to a medical problem, I am not going to sit there and watch them inject me when if there is a problem there has been nothing created to counter the effects or it would of been broadcast, then become another statistic attributed to Covid 19 or maybe be one anyway, I am going with my Gut on this one, hope I am wrong ... GOD Bless one and all ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

That sounds a lot like there was never a mission to land on the moon. A conspiracy can be made outta anything.
get the shot and worry about something important instead of doubting the entirety of the legitimate medical profession.

as a BTW I've had a couple docs that I wouldn't trust to trim a hangnail but they hadn't been the top of the Feds med experts for a couple decades and on national TV for the last year
    just sayin'

Say what you will, I base my so called conspiracy (not) on what I have seen over the years (belief / fact) and been painfully confronted with on several occasions while in the performance of my duties as a Paramedic / Fire fighter ... I have actually had Doctors that I openly told I didn't trust them based on my limited knowledge of what they have done and the out come of same, they do not appreciate anyone who has a negative opinion of them ... (FACT) : I had one Doctor that could not set an IV in my arm so I did it, he almost shit, needless to say he was one of the ones I told I didn't trust him ... Opinions are a lot like assholes, we all got one but mine is the only one that matters to me the most and of course my proctologist ...

    As a Note :

Show me anyplace in medical training or Medical School where you get credit for being on the TV for the last year during a Pandemic, or decades in the Medical field when there has been presented evidence one of the Top Federal Medical Experts he was part of the WHO and wants to change/alter the world population (another Bill Gates but without the money) ..? If they were so great why didn't they give orders to do exactly what had to be done to stop it from spreading from the onset ..? I'll tell you why, because they were not as great as you think they are or they think they are either ... The President (Trump) put pressure on him (Fauci) to come up with answers, he likes working with Biden says its a breath of fresh air to not have all that pressure on him ... Do what you want, I will do what is right for me even if I die doing it ... WPT ... (YAC) ....

If you by chance watched Biden sign all of those blue books for the Photo op, the pages were all blank so it was all for show ...

The company my wife works for is threatening all employees with, ...If you don’t get the Vaccine and get COVID the insurance could deny paying.
There have been big lines outside facilities and I’ll be damned if I’m wating outside any length of time.
After you get the shot you sit in a chair for about 15min. I guess they got a crash cart available.
    ill give feedback. (Hopefully)

I think that it is good to be talking amongst ourselves about this vaccine. Maybe the government is trying to pack a bunch of sunshine up our butts, maybe not. Has anybody died from getting the vaccine yet? Has anybody gotten very, very ill from getting the vaccine yet? How many doses have been administered? Are there any TRUTHFUL negative reports about anything associated with the vaccine? If the government is going to cover up TRUTHFUL negative reports, somebody sooner or later is going to get wind of it and blow the whistle.

Seriously, how many doses have been given. Where are the data? What is really happening? How many trapshooters, hunters, friends, family members have died from this Covid-19? This shit ain't voodoo.

    Phantom,

The problem is anything they would find to be negative would probably never get advertised or broadcast for us common people to know about ... How much and how many things did President Trump and his administration bring to light that most people didn't know of ever think about ..? I have never found myself to be a doubting Thomas but have always considered life a living and learning experience ... I do not trust the democrapic Organization or most of those involved with them from the inside ... Fauci is glad he does not have the pressure he had when Trump was President, he has stated that on more than one occasion in a few days ... Fauci was supposed to be the Federal Expert who was supposed to advise the President and all he did was adlib which in some peoples eyes made the President look bad, all the while the Pandemic was not and never was his fault ... I concur as long as the Government wants people to take the vaccine they will do anything and everything to convince them there is no reason not to, any data to not support what they want will never be published until another person like President Trump gets back in charge, and he will expose them as he did many others along the way ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

Looks like shooting up Lysol, suking up to Qmoron sort of things, and insurrection pretty much sum up the essence of the revelations from the alternate universe that were passed off as the hot tip.

BTW I know four people that have died of the virus. And my brothers best hunting buddy and fellow congregation member who got sick one day, in the hospital the next and dead the next. All of them before the vax. And none ever wore a mask far as I know.
Do whatever you like but if you've not the brains to even act in your own self interest look in a mirror for someone to blame.

My wife and I got our first shot Jan. 20-what an amazing day-first shot and a great inauguration. We had a 10:00 appointment, on our way home by 10:30-very well organized. The only after effect was a little soreness in our shoulders. Second shot Feb. 17, let you know the results.

One of my long time members told me yesterday that he was just getting over covid. He said that he thought he felt like he had the flu. He was treated with an antibodies transfusion. He said he felt a whole lot better in less than 24 hours after treatment and was just tired know. He also told me that he could not get the shot for at least 4 months, the Doc said because it could make him really ill.

I asked him these questions and he didn't know the answer maybe someone on here will. Since the treatment he had was antibodies why would he need a shot when the object of a VAXSINE is to have your body make antibodies? If a shot would be bad for him what happens if someone gets a shot and has had Covid and didn't know it? Will it be bad for them. Do they test for antibodies before you get a shot? Why get a shot if you have had covid? Too many questions without answers for me. No Shot for me.

The antibodies are only lasting in most people for less then 6 months.
They don't test before vaccine that I know of.
Most that end up with a moderate to bad case of Covid are at risk after from anything like a mild cold, because there body has fought so hard to fight off Covid that there immune system is so compromised that something minor could kill them

That whole antibodies issue has me worried, too. I was able to get an appointment for the vaccine shots for us at our hospital because it is a major University Hospital and we are well known patients. In other words, regular patients are given appointments first. During the "question/answer" portion of the phone interview, the nurse asked if either of us had received an antibodies transfusion in the last 4 months. I didn't know why she asked that but I will be able to find out from our longstanding GP when we have our annual physical on February 2. If that question has not already been answered here on this thread, I will report what he said.

I have read the Johns Hopkins report on the vaccine. It is up to date. It suggests that anybody who wants the vaccine should thoroughly discuss the topic with their doctor because your doctor is the one person who hopefully knows the intimate details of your personal medical history and will be the best person to evaluate any potential risk.

Gee , sure glad I got your approval to “do whatever I want”. Without your approval I wouldn’t know what to do.
And, unlike you and the rest of the progressive sheep, I don’t have to always BLAME someone or something.
if someone does get these shots and gets sick or God forbid dies, can they blame you or the other guy on here promoting theses shots?
You know four people that contracted the Chinese virus. So what? I personally know a few hundred that DIDN’T. No, I’m not going to name them.

How about this? You do whatever the hell you want and mind your own business.

BTW , I’m typing this while sitting next to the pool at Margaritaville in Hollywood FL. The 7th vacation since March. Coming back to the Hard Rock Guitar in February. The plane from PA to here on Monday was packed.Had to wear the useless mask on the plane and in the common areas INSIDE the hotel

Outside on the “Broadwalk” ( look it up, it’s 2- 1/2 miles long) you see a maskhole once in a while. Maybe one in a couple hundred people. Hell, the cop was standing outside his cruiser at their park and he WASN’T wearing a mask.
At the pools( 3 of them). ZERO masks.

Must all be Trump Supporters huh?

This is for Shamus. Went to a local casino last night. Clocked a machine for $700.00. Left up $500. Paid for 1 night and a dinner here.

We had our annual Physical appointment on Tuesday, 2/2/21. Our Dr. told us about vaccine, how it worked, and the potential negative results based on his own actual experience, not on what has been published all over the internet. Because of his direct involvement with patients who have had advanced cases of the virus, he was one of the first in the University system to receive the shots. He was administered the Pfizer vaccine, we would receive the Moderna version.
Based on his own experience, he has advised his entire family and his circle of non-professional(medical) friends to be vaccinated. He strongly encouraged us, based on his personal knowledge of OUR MEDICAL HISTORIES, to be vaccinated as soon as possible. Our Doctor has not contracted the virus.

We received our first shots on Thursday, 2/4/21 at the field hospital established in one of our University's parking garages. We had completed the brief questionnaire online the night before. The check-in process was simple and direct. The shot administration was performed as we sat in our car. All of the staff at the field hospital(doctors, nurses, attendants)were University hospital employees who were working on a volunteer basis. By law, shot administrators are all licensed medical professionals, either doctors or nurses. A medical doctor is always present. The entire event, including the 15 minute follow-up observation period took 32 minutes. We were given our appointments for the final shot during the check-in process. The 55 minute drive home was uneventful.

We have both experienced discomfort in the area on our arms where we received the shot. Yesterday, 2/5/21, I had two uncomfortable bowel movements. After the second, I went to bed and slept for about one hour. My wife has had no quantifiable side effects other than the soreness in her shoulder.

I think I have been tired, but I can not, with certainty, blame it on the vaccine.

Right or wrong I made my choice and I will live or die with it ... I have been Clinically Dead 3 times ( not breathing, but had a heart beat / pulse) and got revived ... I felt very Very warm all three times, so I figure Heaven don't want me or Hell is afraid I am going to take over .... Someday we will all know for sure and by then it probably won't matter ... Love the picture, I was at my Doc's today for my six month check up. He never asked me if I wanted a corona shot, his nurse did ask if I wanted a Flu Shot. I'm a no to that one also.

My check up was ok but he said my 161 cholesterol was a little high. I used to have about 235 but I quit taking Cholesterol medicine two years ago and my numbers have came down ever since. Doc doesn't say why that is but he still says U should take cholesterol medicine. I'm staying with my plan.

I've gone through far too many occasions involving family members or friends that have died, or are living a life filled with meds, from some sort of medical condition. I think about them a lot.

The one thing that they all had or have in common is the answer that the doctors give when asked how or why?

    We just don't know.

No matter what the "experts" tell us about this virus, that answer would be the truthful one.

All the restrictions, starting a year ago.

Wear a mask., You don't need a mask, Wear rubber gloves, You don't need gloves. Wear a mask, It can be transmitted through touching something, Use a sanitizer every time you touch ANYTHING, Stay 6 feet away when inside but outside it's OK, Close everything, Open things a little, Close schools, open schools, close schools, It might be transmitted through the air, Stay 6 feet away but only if you are inside. Wear a mask when walking into a restaurant but take it off once you sit down, Wear two masks.
Stay 6 feet apart when waiting in line at the airport, once on the plane you can sit 6 INCHES from someone.
And on and on and on and on........

These restrictions are like hammers and the "experts" are like 3 year old kids holding the hammers.

To a 3 year old, EVERYTHING IS A NAIL.

I tried all the statins and they made me hurt, I took shots in the stomach and it made me hurt. When I say hurt I mean mussel aches like I was coming off a football game. One of my hunters told me to take Red Yeast Rice, it'd either a vitamin or a food supplement. I'm not sure which but I buy it at the Vitamins section in a store.

Other than taking vitamin D, E, L-Lysine, Zink, omega 3, CoQ10, and magnesium everyday I eat what I want and quit worrying about it. Maybe it's one of these, a combination, or something else but I feel really good. I just don't worry about my health that much.

In 2016 I had 5 bypasses. In 1997 I had a bleeding brain aneurysm. In 1988 and 1975 I had bleeding ulcers. I ended up in ICU each time. Oh and in 2010 I had to have an emergency operation to get my appendix removed.

I have to think I've got someone higher up looking out for me for some reason. But I will tell you I don't live my like hiding or in fear. Statins may work, but they didn't for me. I eat red meat, potatoes, fish and pizza. I eat like I'm 19 just not as much. I also get a lot of exercise and haven't quit working.

The one ailment that might slow me up is macular degeneration of my eyes. I couldn't shoot trap well if I wanted too, I can see but not clear enough to break 100 anymore I think. The thing that bothers me the most is reading a book, the lines are jumbled up.

Thank you for the comprehensive reply. My last trip to the ER with my blood pressure, the worst reading they got was 254/124. By the time you get to be our age, there is a good chance that we've all had a couple of brushes with the undertaker. My health "laundry list" is shorter than bride's list, but I've got a few holes in me that I wasn't born with. All of us are just a missed stop sign away from being dead. I want to live forever, so I tend to pay much closer attention to my little maladies than I did before I went into the Army. In other words, I'm not looking for a farm to buy. I hope St. Peter will be patient. I'm having way too much fun.

My wife & I got our first phizer shot a month ago. No reaction other than a sore muscle where they gave the shot. Just like any other flu shot. We got our second shot last week, and I had no side effect, other than the sore muscle like the first shot. My wife who is on chemo had sore muscle & fever & chills the next day. Tylenol every several hours, and fine the next day.
In about ten days, we are going out to dinner with friends, and will have several drinks before dinner, and laugh & joke like we did a year ago. At least that is our plan. Can't wait.

    Geno,

Thank you! That's a good report. What is the average age of the members at you club who have received the shot? Also, oldest and youngest.

Phantom- we all are in our early to middle 70's. Do not know of younger people that have gotten their shots. My daughter who works at a funeral home and had the virus ( the staff was infected) had a rough time with the shots. She was warned because of having had the virus things could be rough, she is 44.

Wife and I got our first shots yesterday with no side effects. But both of us took some Tylenol an hour before injections,
We both are in our seventies.

Both shots, Phizer/BionTech. No side effects. 75yoa.

I just did what my surgeon told me.

She had corona and 18days isolation.

    38 yoa.

She had an excellent point. It's too unpredictable to take the gamble at 75yoa. It can attack any age.

    Geno,

Thank you. If you don't mind, could you be a little more specific about your daughter's experience?

    Rook,

Thank you for the reply. The Tylenol idea was smart. I wish I'd thought of that for us. She hurt for a couple of days.

    Ljutic,

Thank you! I didn't quite understand. Are you saying that your surgeon had caught the virus?

    Yes,

    Isolated 18 days.

    She's 38 yoa.

    2 children and a husband.

Since she saved me from cancer, so far, I listen to her.

Thanks! She sounds like the kind of Lady you would want to stay real close to. I'm glad you made it....and I'm glad she made it, too.
