RIB Bending...

    When snapping forend onto Barrel on an adjustable gun do you squeeze down on the rib while doing so...? Does this cause damage over time to the rib or cause it to bend.....?
    I see a lot of people do this but Ive yet to actually notice any bending in their ribs....

    Depends on the pressure.

    I put my forend on my Seitz with my hand placed over the rib where it has a rib support
