Have found that if it is green, load american primers. They do not like the force fit of the oversize primers.

    I use rem 209 but I also use fed 209----any primer works----feds are a little hotter---I'll bet
that if you try any good primer -,you won't know the difference----JMO SJB

I only use Federal 209a primers and they are easy to come by here in the Northwest. Gary

Been using Federals in my Remington hulls for many years. No problems, and you can cut the powder by a little.

Over the course of several years I loaded tens of thousands of Fiocchi 616 in Feds, Wins, and Rems of every sort and never had a single problem. And that was in three different 366's depending on the brand. Where I am the 616's are available and affordable. Never had any regrets turning to them exclusively.

I use Win 209. I have used CCI and Fed 209A. I have no problem with them. But remember that the Fed 209A are considered Magnum primers. I can always find win 209, but I can't always find the CCI. SO I stick with the Winchester version.

Locally the FIO 616 is about all that is available..... 3 stores sell CCI and Winchester. $40 a brick when they have them. 3 nearby clubs sell the FIO, $24 per thousand. I find with some STS or Nitro27 hulls one must use the drill bit trick to get full primer insertion..... Larry
