I am reloading on Mec 9000. When loading remington GC, have a "crunchy" feel when pulling handle down. Crimps look ok. Sts and Nitro hulls, no crunch, smooth as silk. Tried resizing the GC's first, no change. Anyone have thoughts about this?

I was reloaling some AA hulls this moring and I also heard that crunchy sound.. In my case, it was caused by the wad catching the edge of the hull mouth installing the wad. It appears one of the crimp folds managed to slip between the wad guide fingers.. check for the wad causing a tear in the hull mouth.

    Downrange wads catch too often.

Try and raise your wad guide on the mec and always watch the fingers on any wad to make sure they are not folded in when you pull that handle

My 9000H would "snap" when loading Gun Club's. Not so much on the once fired but when they had been loaded 2 or 3 time... My son experienced the same "crunch" and handle resistance on his MEC 650..... We both have installed the "ultimate primer punch" which cleans and flair's the hull mouth..... In a way the issue resolved itself about a year ago, I have not seen a Gun Club in a store or in the range barrels for a long time..... seems Winchester WW and various Estate and other inexpensive shells not fill the barrels......
