So ..... Who would receive the 'fine money' ?????? The State of Illinois ??????

Is so, how hard do you think they would try to correct the 'problem' ?????? Free money for them if they just let the 'fines' continue .....

A hedge fund trying to stay 'tax-exempt' under the guise of the former "ATA", in a corrupt anti-gun State ..... It was fun getting "BAT" to try and explain how the "ATA" would adjust the 'numbers' ..... pay, bonuses, camping, membership, and so on, to just stay within the so-called 'tax-exempt' requirements ..... NEVER by a wide margin, but, just creative enough to slide by .....

Good luck ..... But, I can't see the threat of 'fines' doing much, other than getting the State of Illinois et al. hopeful of some return for their boondoggle .....

    Doc...
I stay out of this stuff. But you have to give Sparta some time. They hardly have much of an office there due to the Illinois response to Covid.

Gary Request copies of all minutes pertaining to when ever his salary and bonuses were discussed. That is definatly open to the public and they must supply if they want to keep their 501C3 status. Roger C.

User 1, The IRS would get the fine money. And an attorney would make many BMW payments. If they prove fraud they could become personel problems. Rogwer C.

I never understood how rich people hobbies were non-profit tax exempt. I used to ride track days and very little motorcycle racing. The protective barriers where tax exempt too. Never understood that.

Another problem they would have to contend with is; No member of the boaed is allowed to profit from their actions on the board of a 501 C3, or profit from any actions tacken by the board. That would be a real problem judging from their moves related to the purchasing of capitol expenditures made, in regard to machines and buildings.
The IRS if they do an audit of a 501 C3 and find any questionable info, can and will do an audit of the persons suspected of the questionable moves. They can and will cast a very wide net. Roger C.

Can someone cut and paste the 501 (3) regulation that states copies of all minutes pertaining to salary and bonuses are discussed, they must be made available to the public if they want to keep their 501C3 status. I have looked but missed it, if it was in the regulations.

    Thanks

Dobyns, It is not only the minutes when the wages and bonuses are discussed, it covers all meetings of the board of directors and the complete discussions. In any non profit they are public records. That is why a recording secetary must be present, and they are then published. There is nothing private about a 501 C3 corp. The board can go into private secessions but they still must be recorded. Roger C.

I am on the board of a 501c3. Each year we have to file a tax return - Form 990. In this form is a page that requires the top paid employees and directors compensation be listed. Why wouldn’t this be true of the ATA ?

There really isn't any magic to it. All you need is somebody with a pair of nuts to call the local IRS Field Office and drop a dime on 'em. EZPZ.

Say, is this whole 'Gipson Thingy' a doozy of a Snipe Hunt, or is it just another Glorious Crusade crushed by Alibaba and His 40 Thieves?

I seem to recall someone saying they notified the IAG and IRS, never heard anything more about it ... The Corruption that was exposed by Trumps administration is probably why nothing more was said about it, seems like corruption runs deep on a State level and for sure on the Federal level ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

If you look at most everything Biden had done since he took office all of it reverts back and is essentially cutting each and every American's throat with a dull knife ... He is doing it because he can not because its the best thing for the people of America, besides he hates Trump and will do anything he can to try and show him up ... Trump had more people at his rallies than Biden had at his inauguration, that in itself speaks volumes ... Biden did nothing for 47 years now all of a sudden he has the power he always wanted and he is using it against America not for the benefit of ... I cannot say what my hopes are for him because I do not want the secret service at my door in the middle of the night ... I do feel that with Harris as his VP, his days are numbered, if my feeling is right instead of checks everyone will be getting knee pads ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

John Kerry in all of his ignorance says the pipeline workers and Union people who lose their job should get a job making solar panels ... One of them should stick one up his back side and see how he likes it ...
