It was the other guy’s job. And now this! ATA Shooters don’t care about rights either?

I do not post my personal views as Just Joe. Most know me as Family Guy.

The biggest reason this forum exists is because I stood idly by. Like tens of thousands of other trapshooters, I did little complaining when the ATA moved the home grounds to a gun hate state.

We did not have a forum then. And I thought my delegate and OSTA President would represent us well.

I was wrong. The corrupt thugs won. I lost. We lost. The ATA lost.

Now I hear the same solemn silence as our rights to assemble, worship, and use firearms are denied.

The other guy isn’t going to do it. If you don’t want to shoot then damn it don’t shoot!! But you better be fighting for those that do!!

This is about more than just registered shooting.

Joe I posted something along the same lines as you on the Pa thread. Another point I'll add here is that I was always amazed how few ATA members were NRA members. That's one reason I don't hold a very high opinion of the ATA shooter today. They are a pretty selfish lot on the whole. I miss the old guys and I don't care to get to know the new ones.

You need three things for a revolution. The means, millions of AR owners in the US, the ability, of the millions of owners I say at least 10% have the ability and the last one that starts it all, the will. If the will happens Katie bar the door because like whats been said there is more than plenty of means and ability out there.

Found this on page 4 ..... what a shame .....

Choke tubes and shot size will be nothing more than cyber-chat if everyone stays complaisant .....

It is hard to get two Trapshooters to agree that they disagree, but, it may be well past time to consider the big-picture .....

Sending a few bucks to the "NRA" may be a feel-good for some, but, currently isn't getting the mileage it once may have .....

We owe a debt to those before us, that needs to be paid to those after us ..... How that debt is paid is more important now than ever before .....

On a similar note, I'm Jewish & it beats the s--t out of me, that so many Jews are anti-second amendment--they seem to have forgotten the fact that Hitler confiscated their guns & KNIVES--I'm proud to be a retired USN-R Submariner & I have way more fire power than the Jews had in the Warsaw ghetto, when they rose up

Only idiots keep repeating the same mistake, time after time

    Never again

635 G, I'm with you 100%. Never again. My ancestors imigrated in 1909 from Krakow, Poland as catholic. Because this country was not admitting Jews at that time. My feelings are there are only three countries that I would fight for, they are USA, Canada, Isrial, they are freedom loving countries that their citizens are still individuals first.

I too was always amazed at the amount of shooters that do not belong to the NRA. They bitch the same as us members but yet do not join the fight. A club i previously belonged to but no longer exists had no requirements. The club I currently have joined requires all members to be NRA members. You must prove you are a member every year upon membership renewal. No NRA, see ya! This is good but odd you should have to force someone to belong to a organization for their betterment? I was an NRA member long before joining the club. It is our last stand IMO. TRUMP/MAGA

"You must prove you are a member every year upon membership renewal. No NRA, see ya!"

Should there be the same requirement to be a pro-gun forum "member", to post on the forum in cyber-land ????? "No NRA, see ya!" .....

Can a forum 'belong to/be a member of' the "NRA" ?????

"It is our last stand IMO"

My opinion is a little different ..... If everyone wants to just sit back and throw money at this, the "NRA" alone will not be enough .....

I joined the NRA as a Life Member before I ever shot trap, then signed up as a Lifer of the ATA (best $50.00 I ever spent ) at the second shoot I attended ... I also get a "First Responder" card from the NRA being as I was a Fire Fighter/ Paramedic ... The NRA pisses people off when they keep sending lifers renewal notices but that is not a big price to pay for being a member ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

The NRA is what it is ..... like them, love them, or not ..... while that debate goes on, many are working very hard on the bigger picture of gun-bans .....

What do you think the value of a conversation about 7 1/2's or 8's, or fat men, will be if the Supreme Court gets "stacked" ?????

The "NRA" will not make it through the first session ..... then what ?????

Yes, the NRA has served as a past firewall for gun ownership ..... but, while that created a complaisant mood, many have been working overtime to destroy that road-block .....

Looking at the big picture ..... the NRA et al. could use more than just some money .....

4 of the 9 members of our Supreme Court don't believe we have the right to keep and bear arms.

Then ..... you have to "hope" they never become able to keep adding Justices to the Court until they get the ratio they desire .....

How about this ????? "Why would Speaker Nancy Pelosi unveil legislation less than one month before Election Day to establish a commission under the 25th Amendment to determine the president’s fitness for holding office?" .....

    "Trump’s theory"

"Trump has his own theory on the 25th Amendment bill that has nothing to do with him. He thinks the speaker is trying to set up a process for replacing Biden with his running mate, California Sen. Kamala Harris."

" Crazy Nancy Pelosi is looking at the 25th Amendment in order to replace Joe Biden with Kamala Harris. The Dems want that to happen fast because Sleepy Joe is out of it!!!"

"What country before ever existed a century and half without a rebellion? And what country can preserve it’s liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is it’s natural manure." - Thomas Jefferson

I often hear "I can't stand Trump!" ..."He is" blah blah, blah.

Many people can't separate personality from political issues when voting. ...These are the ones that need to be convinced our future is more important than Trump's personality.

First off, I am a life member of the NRA as well as a contributing member! Just out of curiosity though, does this club carry their liability insurance through the NRA? If so, this is the NRA's requirement. The club I belong to looked into the NRA's liability coverage and found that we could be better served using a different carrier but not because of the member requirement.

XTShooter, I assume you mean by better served, you mean cheaper. Does your CHEAPER CARRIER PROTECT YOUR RIGHT TO OWN A GUN OF YOUR CHOSE? If not your club should rethink their priorities. Roger C.

Actually yes they are cheaper for the same coverage and while I can't attest to their political views on guns, there are very few companies in the US that will carry liability insurance for gun clubs. Therefore they tend to be supportive of gun owners and considering the instances of claims being quite low their ability to make money it would be beneficial to them to be supportive.

You have got to be kidding. There are banks that will not do business with gun mfgrs. and others that are in the fire arms sales. and you just sumise that the insurer is pro gun without checking them out. We know the NRA is the only organization that fights for our gun rights. Has any insurance ever brought suit against any government agence for enacting a law that is not in compliance with the constitution? Gun clubs with that attitude, in the near future may not have a gun club to insure but by then it will be to late. Roger C.
